In Jamaica, Irie (Eye-Ree) means, "It's all good, mon!", so welcome to Irie Escape; our soothing, tranquil retreat on Lake Cumberland, Kentucky (LCK)! As you approach our home, you will notice huge, mature trees and spacious land to allow for plenty of outdoor games, grilling, and relaxation from our cozy hammock. If you like quiet, that is the first thing you will notice when arriving. You may hear a faint train in the background, but the overall sense is one of calm & peace! The space Welcome to Irie Escape – Your Relaxing Lake Getaway Step into Irie Escape and be greeted by sunshine streaming through skylights and a peek of the lake through the kitchen windows. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need—waffle maker, blender, food processor—and even two grills: a gas Cuisinart with a custom griddle and a classic Weber charcoal grill. The hand-built dining table seats six and flows into a spacious family room with leather seating, smart TV, stereo (with Alexa & Amazon Music Unlimited), and a cozy wood-burning pellet stove. Behind that, a sunroom offers lake views, fresh air from open windows, and comfortable seating for six—perfect for meals, card games, or evening chats. Unwind in the luxurious master bath featuring a soaking tub, bath bombs, and a dual-head walk-in shower. A second full bath with a handmade vanity offers convenience for guests. Three bedrooms provide restful sleep: One Love (King bed) Caribbean Queen (Queen bed) Three Little Birds (Twin over full bunk) Each bedroom has Roku-equipped TVs and USB charging stations. A queen air mattress is also available for extra guests. Enjoy the outdoors with a spacious deck, fire ring, and a larger camp-style fire pit. The garage includes lawn games like cornhole, ladder golf, horseshoes, and giant Yahtzee, plus gear for pickleball and badminton—court lines are painted on the driveway! High-speed Spectrum internet keeps you connected if you get rained in. And yes, it’s faster than what we get back in Cincinnati. ⚠️ Please Note: There is no lake access from the home due to a steep bluff. It’s not suitable for unsupervised young children. Winter lake views are amazing; summer views vary based on foliage. 🚤 Boat Barn Available by request—please coordinate in advance. 🏡 Neighborhood Vibe: To get to many of the lakefront homes in this part of the country, you have to drive by some very rural areas with homes of all types in different types of conditions, including good and bad. This is an area where you have an abandoned trailer next to a big farm, next to a ranch-style house next to rusty trailers with scrap metal collections. Although the nearby streets have all of these different types of residences, everyone is respectful and will wave at you when you drive by. We consider the folks in this area our neighbors and a lot of the families have been in this region for generations. You will see this type of scenery in some of the hiking areas as well. We don’t get to use this place as often as we’d like, so we’re thrilled to share it with guests who’ll enjoy and care for it like we do. Come relax, play, and recharge at Irie Escape.
