Wonderful Village Barn with Indoor Pool, Noss Mayo

Hilsea, just outside the waterside village of Noss Mayo is the perfect spot to spend a week or 3. This refurbished barn conversion retains all its original charm and yet has a lovely modern feel. Located in the quiet hamlet of Netton, minutes away from the heart of Noss Mayo, perfect for sailing , swimming , fishing, dining and sampling local ales, we really have the best of both worlds. The cottage is perfect for families , groups of friends or couples looking for a quiet getaway. The space Hilsea is a wonderful 3 bedroom barn conversion located in the quiet hamlet of Netton, close to the watersde village of Noss Mayo. Part of a small complex of 5 barns, Hilsea is a wonderful, spacious cottage minutes from the South West Coastal Path. The layout is on 3 floors giving the cottage a light and airy feel. The ground floor has the 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Bedroom one is furnished with a king bed and benefits from an ensuite shower room. Bedroom 2 looks out over the front shared courtyard and has a superking bed but one that can be easily separated into 2 single beds. Bedroom 3 is furnished with a set of bunk beds, the bottom of which is a small double, so this room could house 3 people. The family shower room is newly refurbished and has a double shower. The stairs to the first floor take you to the wonderful large lounge furnished with 2 comfy sofas. There is plenty of space for all the family to relax in front of the log burner and watch a good film on Netflix! The kitchen is fully fitted with all the mod cons you could need including a large wine fridge (you do need to bring your own supplies though!) A large hand made wooden table seats 10 people comfortably and is an ideal focal point for those all important family meals. Up the stairs again takes you to a large enclosed mezzanine space which has a sofa bed allowing versatility in the sleeping arrangements. Glazed French doors lead from the lounge out on to a walled garden. The decked area is furnished with plenty of outdoor seating and bar b que. The garden beyond has been designed for maximum impact and minimum effort so is just a delightful space to sit back and enjoy those long balmy evenings. A wooden door hidden in the walled garden leads you to the communal indoor heated swimming pool which is available from April to October. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible if the pool is closed for any reason during your stay. Hilsea is the perfect getaway cottage. Set in a quiet complex in the heart of the countryside but less than a mile from Noss Mayo you get the best of both worlds. Peace and tranquility with pubs, shops, tennis and all manner of water sports just minutes away. What’s not to love! Guest access A car is recommended if you stay at Hilsea and there is parking for 2 cars in the communal carpark. Other things to note Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo in the South Hams area of South Devon are both hidden gems that offer holiday makers a little slice of tranquillity. Only 10 miles from Plymouth, and surrounded by countryside walks and gorgeous secluded beaches, both Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo are a perfect choice for holiday makers. During the summer months, a river taxi runs between the neighbouring harbours, ferrying visitors back and forth between these charming South Hams backwaters. Billy, the taxi man has been operating the taxi for years and years and has many a story to tell! Do note that the pool is only open between April and October. Please note: During the open season, the pool will be closed every Friday morning for cleaning. Sorry for any inconvenience.
