Walk to two beaches from this classic 1895 Colonial on two acres on Westport's "Gold Coast. Recently updated, the home has its original wood floors and is furnished with exceptional antiques. It is surrounded on three sides by a nature preserve with trails and the road out front is a popular running/cycling route. Deer and wildlife often visit the pond out back. If you don't see dates available reach out anyway as we sometimes block dates and are flexible. Note that pricing is seasonal. The space There are five bedrooms with the smallest being a walk through to another bedroom. This smaller room may also be used as an office. The first floor master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a king-sized bed (it can be also be configured as two twins). The large second floor master bedroom can also be configured as two twins or a king depending on your needs. There is a large pond on the property with fountains with fish, turtles, and frogs. Eat in the large dinning room that seats 8 to 10 or on the covered porch overlooking the grounds and pond. Guest access There is parking for three cars and access to a small two-car garage good for bike storage. There are two train stations less than a mile away that are on the Metro North commuter line providing easy access to New York City at least every thirty minutes. Other things to note This has been a family home for 50 years and was only recently refit and put on the rental market. We are quite selective in who we rent to so please tell us a bit about yourself when you inquire. The house has passed tests for mold and other environmental pathogens. However, you are in nature. We cannot control outdoor factors such as bees, woody debris, humidity or pollen in the air. If you have any allergies or environmental sensitivities --including to things such as gluten, nuts or fragrances -- we ask that you disclose them within 24 hours of booking so we can do our best to address them. Last, while we love animals, we do not accept animals or pets of any kind. While we try to accommodate everyone, due to severe allergies and health implications, we cannot take service animals.
