Bright double room near Glasgow Airport

A bright double room in a friendly family home in Paisley's West End, hosted by Luna, a Superhost with 8 years' experience. The room has two windows, plenty of natural light and a comfortable double bed. Set on a quiet street, 5 min walk to Paisley town centre and the University of the West of Scotland. 10 min walk to Paisley Gilmour Street station, with direct trains to Glasgow city centre in 10 min. 10 min by taxi to Glasgow Airport. We are a family of three plus our cat Bella. The space - In the room Vodafone fibre WiFi, fresh bed linen, towels, and basic toiletries are provided. A hair dryer and iron are in the room for your use. The room has central heating and is comfortable in all seasons. Bedding is for up to 2 guests. The room is upstairs, reached by a wide staircase. The wardrobe has some space set aside for guests, while the rest is used by us for family storage. - Kitchen and shared spaces You are welcome to cook in the shared kitchen, which has a dining table you can use. Tea and coffee are kept in the kitchen, please help yourself. - Getting here From Glasgow Airport, the easiest option is a taxi from the rank just outside the terminal, which costs around £15. There is also a bus from the airport to Paisley Gilmour Street train station, so please check the timetable in advance if you would rather take public transport. By taxi from elsewhere in Paisley, please use the local taxi app RenfrewshireCab rather than Uber. You cannot make booking using Uber in Paisley. From the train station, Google Maps will give you the shortest walking route, around 10 minutes. There is a short cobbled and uneven section on the way, and dragging a heavy suitcase across it can be difficult. If your luggage is heavy, I would suggest taking a short taxi ride for the last bit. If you are driving, you can park on the driveway in front of the house. Please message me in advance so I can keep a space free for you. - What's nearby There is a convenience store within walking distance for daily essentials. The high street has a good mix of cafes, and as you head toward the town centre you will find takeaways and plenty of specialty restaurants. Guest access Guests have access to: - the upstairs full bathroom - the shared kitchen - the laundry area - the driveway for parking (please message in advance so we can arrange it). The living room is kept as a private family space. During your stay I welcome guests in person by default, with self check-in via keybox available if you prefer or arrive late. We are not always home during the day, so the Airbnb app is the most reliable way to reach me, including during your stay. We are warm but respectful hosts, happy to chat or share a local tip if you fancy and equally happy to give you your space. Timings are flexible. Early arrivals, late check-ins, or early departures are all fine if you let me know in advance. Other things to note Our family home sits on a quiet residential street. Please treat shared spaces as you would your own and keep noise low after 22:00. Please use the table mats and coasters provided on the dark furniture to keep it in good condition. We have a friendly cat Bella, who lives in the house and mostly keeps to herself.
