Delightful cabin with panoramic views

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Nestled in the corner of a meadow with outstanding views over the stunning Teign Valley & far beyond, it’s time to relax and get away from it all!! Whether you're looking for adventure, hiking on Dartmoor, strolling down woodland paths, wandering to the village pub or simply sitting on the balcony enjoying the peace & quiet of the countryside you won’t be short of things to help you unwind. The space The Meadows has been designed and hand-crafted by us. You will have your own private corner of the meadow to sit and relax in a quiet sunny area or snuggle up around the firepit in the evening for some star gazing. From the covered balcony you enter through double glazed patio doors. In the main living space is a settee, kitchenette with sink, cupboard and fridge, together with kettle and toaster for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. With lovely local pubs and tasty takeaways there are plenty of places to sample local food - if you fancy a cooked breakfast or a quick meal we have an electric mini oven & hob in the screened outdoor kitchen area on the balcony or on a sunny day the charcoal Bbq is next to the fire pit for you to rustle up some home cooking. Local produce is available at the Teign Valley farmers market every Saturday. At one end of the cabin is a king size bed with views over the valley and at the other you’ll find your own ensuite bathroom with toilet, shower and hand basin. No need for wooly socks the cabin has underfloor heating to keep you toasty warm. Guest access From the car parking area is a gentle slope down to the cabin and steps up to a covered balcony with seating area allowing you to sit, relax and enjoy the far reaching views. Other things to note Our smallholding is home to livestock, horses, chickens, guinea fowl, farm cats and our dog so for that reason we do not allow pets - Sorry! We kindly ask that you do not feed or encourage the animals into the cabin area as they may bite, kick, scratch or poop and be a general nuisance!! You will find some complementary items on arrival - tea, coffee, sugar and condiments. There is a BBQ & fire pit available for you to use - please remember to bring charcoal & a supply of wood if you are planning on making the most of the great outdoors!! You’ll be staying on a working smallholding, so please be respectful of the animals and be aware there will be tractors and other machinery operating at times. We politely request that you do not enter any of the fields or feed the horses as this can make them very ill! There are numerous local footpaths for you to explore and enjoy the countryside.
