The Mountain Lodge is in the foothills of the Mountains on Karoo Ridge Conservancy. There are views from every angle. (book direct) The space Karoo Ridge Conservancy is a 10 000 ha working farm with indigenous Nguni and Stormberger cattle that run along-side wildlife. The area is particularly scenic and diverse ranging from tall mountains to open plains and riverine thicket. One of the best kept secrets in South Africa, the area remains unchanged by time. Enjoy the many trails and tracks that you can explore with the opportunity to view amazing rock formations, plains game, birds and clear starlit skies at night. Guest access All bookings for Karoo Ridge Mountain Lodge are exclusive and give you access to a 2-bed roomed lodging which has been built for your comfort. Both of the bedrooms are en-suite. The central area is made up of an open plan kitchen (fully equipped), dining room and lounge area which opens up onto a big veranda for plenty of outside living. There is a braai/barbecue facility. There is no fenced in garden and the accommodation opens up onto the veld. The lodge runs on gas and solar energy. Guests can go on self-guided walks, hikes and drives or alternatively can have a guided experience (extra cost). Guests may add on a night in our star bed. Where they can enjoy watching the milky way stretching across the sky. This is for couples and must be booked with us directly. Other things to note Our minimum requirement is 2 guests for 2 nights. We do offer a fully catered service. These rates are available on request. This needs to be organized with us 2 weeks prior to your visit. We also have ready-made meals and breakfast options available to you, for your convenience. This price list is available on request. The property does not have phone reception. This is also a WiFi free lodge. WiFi is available at the office/reception area which is open from 7am to 5pm. Guests are welcome to use this space, have a cup of coffee and catch up on emails, messages and phone calls.
