The Carrabassett River offers fishing and the grand Sugarloaf Ski Resort is a short drive away, offering the best skiing and snowboarding on the East Coast. New recreation activities include zip line and now the sugarloaf mountain bike festival. Held in August 25-27. Featuring 50 miles of mountain bike trails. Even rentals of fat boy and santa cruz trail and snow bikes! You can walk to town or drive to the mountain. Bring your snowshoes or cross country skis, and it is of course snowmobile country up here!
