Olalla Bay Cottage. Low bank waterfront, this home is a true getaway. Easy drive; no ferries to deal with! Very quiet and private. Being so close to the water and most rooms have a water view. Fish from the deck! Watch the sunrise, eagles, seals and passing ships from the 600 sq. ft. deck. 3 bedrooms (a queen bed in each) and 2 baths. Wifi is strong and it's all on one level. Cook your steaks on the gas BBQ. We have a living room fireplace too. (Duraflame logs only, please.) This is low bank waterfront at its best, but it's accessible, given everything is on one level. Park the car, and the front door is right there! Easy. The deck is the full length of the house, and has amazing views. Sailboats, shipping freighters, tugboats and barges. We saw a submarine one time. And, there's the seals. The seals are almost guaranteed to entertain you. Our photos show whales passing through, but that was a rare event. Olalla is one hour from Seattle (and SeaTac Airport). Very easy to get to. This home is in a very quiet, friendly neighborhood. Walk the beach at low tide. For more action, Gig Harbor is 15-minute drive, and also, there's Port Orchard for antique lovers, and Bremerton, a Navy town. Tour Navy destroyer, the USS Turner Joy. The cool thing about Olalla Bay Cottage is that you feel like you're worlds away from everything, yet, a 15 minute drive in either direction takes you to fine dining, casual dining, museums, and boutique shopping. Several golf courses are close by as well as Olalla Bay Winery. Did I mention a public boat launch just a mile away?
