Description
We have some construction discounts until end of February, see note below :) We value connection to nature above all else. Peace Cabin is private waterfront on Ucluelet inlet, on a large lot of old-growth trees. We designed it quite differently from other places you may have stayed-this is a capsule to recharge yourself from the busyness of your day-to-day life. You'll love the silence, the birdlife, proximity to coastal hiking trails, surf beaches, and the National Park. The space Construction: Until approximately February 2026 we will be doing weekend rentals only due to construction on the property during the week. There are 2 buildings being constructed, but the cabin area is not affected. There will be no loud construction when you're there, but you may see us painting inside the new buildings. The price you're seeing is already discounted 30% from last year's rate. Some landscaping around the driveway will be unfinished but the cabin is not affected :) Where you'll stay: Spend your valuable time relaxing in a forest. Walls are finished in warm birch, 13ft high ceilings with big windows to connect with the outdoors, and radiant poured concrete flooring throughout. Bedrooms are pods with 3 windows - a platform with a comfortable queen bed with luggage storage underneath and several shelves and hooks for clothes. Restful sleep is paramount. A large bathroom with a tree-high private view looks at nothing but ocean and forest. A long hallway full of clothing hooks connects to the main living area with a cozy fireplace, a full kitchen with durable granite, lots of functional space and built-ins, as well as a wrap-around couch. The living area has doors to a long entry deck as well as a spacious sitting side deck. The sitting deck features expansive views of the forest and inlet beyond, a gas grill, and a wood fireplace. Rolling cedar shutters keep the rain out and allow sunshine in. Lots of space for your water toys, SUPs, surfboards, kayak, or canoe, as well as a wetsuit drying area outside. Of course, there's a comfortable hot outdoor shower, fully stocked, to top off your stay after a day of exploring the hiking trails, or an afternoon in the surf. Guest access Peace Cabin is the first building on your right. Our property extends the entire length of the gravel driveway. There is dedicated parking right at the cabin. You'll have access to the whole cabin. The house and garage at the end of the driveway is off-limits to guests. Please keep the driveway clear of cars - extra large parking space halfway up the driveway hill if you would like extra space. There is one trail to the shoreline to look for wildlife and birds on the inlet! Other things to note Although this cabin is a 5-minute drive to town, we are on a wooded lot that has forest creatures. Best not to leave kids unattended outside, especially because we're so close to water. The waterfront is a tidal inlet, so sometimes there is 1ft of water, sometimes there is seagrass. Also, no unattended food or snacks anywhere outside especially during grilling, truly. Bears have walked by within 15 feet of us, and we are diligent at keeping animals wild. Further to that, please no events or parties or noise. Thank you! Please note: there is absolutely no commercial activity (photography, filming, instagramming for brands - we're looking at you influencers, although not strictly limited to those mentioned) permitted on the property without expressed written consent from us. Remember, this is private property, and you are invited to make personal memories, and make photos and videos for personal use. Enjoy your vacation and share it with your family and friends(!!), please nothing that earns money or perks from what we've built. Thanks for understanding.
