Omaka Lodge is a boutique bed & breakfast venue situated alongside New Zealand’s iconic Forgotten Highway. The Ruapehu Suite is a self-contained luxury suite occupying a floor to itself and including a bedroom, bathroom, and open-plan living-dining-kitchen with oven and dishwasher. Continental breakfast is largely homemade and is served in the guest dining room. Omaka Lodge is a delightful treat for garden lovers, with our 3+ acre garden being rated a 5-Star Garden of National Significance. We have several accommodation options, including private rooms, a self-contained apartment and campervan sites. The Ruapehu Suite, completed in 2018, is a self-contained luxury suite here at Omaka Lodge. Occupying an entire floor to itself, The Suite is light and airy, with lovely views across our gardens and the surrounding fields. The Suite consists of a spacious open-plan living area finely furnished for a comfortable classic feel – including classic art deco chairs. The fully-featured kitchenette includes an oven, a gas cooktop, and even a dishwasher! Featuring beautiful antique furniture, the bedroom has a gloriously comfortable queen bed fitted with the finest of luxurious linen. To complete the theme, the magnificent private bathroom features a huge walk-in double shower with double rain-heads and glass roof, and finished with spectacular hand-made tiles.
