The entire 2nd floor is dedicated to offering a comfy peaceful setting for guests. Each bedroom includes a Queen bed and sitting room accoutrements. A Game Room Parlor offers fun and relax time for morning coffee or evening game & TV time. One shared hallway bath. This 1880 home allows the guests to step back into yesteryear ambience with modern comforts. The space Experiencing historic lodging has never been easier….or more comfy! The historic Doc Tilton House is an ideal place for 2 couples or friends traveling together who want separate bedrooms but together time in the house. It's also great for families. The decor is ‘antique shabby chic’ to create a cozy comfortable environment for our guests. Here you will be able to indulge in a relaxing setting while experiencing the home’s historic ambiance amidst antiques and vintage furnishings. The Doc Tilton house welcomes everyone. Dogs welcome! The property is a pet-friendly setting with a large yard to walk the pet. The Guest Suite in this historic home is the entire 2nd floor. It does require going up 15 steps to the unit. The downstairs area of the house has some public spaces that include a gift shop and mini museum open from 12noon-5pm. The public will not have access to the Guest Suite. The proprietor is also on property downstairs. The Guest Suite is comprised of 2 roomy bedrooms each with one Queen sized bed. The Game Room Parlor has an optional cot for 5th person if requested. The Parlor also offers a mini kitchen that includes a microwave, coffeemaker, mini-fridge and water cooler. Also in the Game Room Parlor, there is a dining table where guests can eat, check internet, play games, and relax. There is a full-sized sofa for relaxing and watching tv, reading or resting. The room also includes a chess/checkers table, jigsaw puzzle table and board games. The home is totally non-smoking, but respectful smoking is allowed outside in the yard. Guests at the Doc Tilton House are welcome to visit the Curio Shop 24/7 and may even shop self-serve style! A micro-museum will open in spring 2022 that will be available to the guests. Both off-street parking and front door street parking are offered. Guest access There are two complimentary parking options at the historic Doc Tilton House. Street parking on Jefferson street, directly in front of the Entrance (based on availability) or an off-street parking spot in the back lawn area off Honeysuckle Lane. Our guests are welcome to park in either location. Entry to the house is through the front Entrance off Jefferson Street. Other things to note The historic Doc Tilton House is located in the heart of the historic walking district of Nashville. It sets directly next to the Village Green and is within steps of Nashville's restaurant and tourist area. Once you park your car, you can meander through the village with no parking worries during your stay. This location is pet-friendly for responsible pet owners. Two dogs maximum with pets on leash at all times. There is a large yard for the dogs to enjoy on leash right at the house. The house is also set next to the Village Green Park which is an on-leash pet-friendly park. Dogs must be crated if left on property alone.
