La Cabaña at La Granja is a cozy cabin and motorcycle destination in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains. Water is provided in cabin with electricity. Outhouse, no shower. If you are looking to relax and escape hectic life, you have found the perfect spot. La Cabaña is approximately 150 square foot studio with a queen-size bed, loft with twin bed, a small sitting area, and a primitive kitchen area. It is a rustic cabin, which means there is no indoor plumbing. This requires making trips to the nearby new, hand-built, clean composting outhouse. The outhouse is located ~20 feet from cabin. We provide you with potable washing and drinking water. The kitchen area features a Keurig with coffee and tea, an induction stove top, and fresh eggs from our hens. There are also basic cooking items in the kitchen: plates, bowls, cups, silverware, pan, paper towels, spatula, cutting board, and a washing station. Prepare for a visit as you would a glamping trip, with these amenities provided. There are outlets for phone charging and appliances. The cabin has spotty cell phone service and wifi can be slow. So we encourage you to unplug and enjoy nature! The cabin is heated by an infrared stove heater and space heater, and cooled by an overhead fan and portable AC unit. A designated parking area is illuminated with ground lights, reflectors and a sign. The cabin is located a short walk uphill from the parking area. We live and work on the property, and will likely be moving about doing farm chores. We will give you all the space you want/need during your stay at the cabin, but are always available to answer questions or just chat. Rural neighborhood on a winding road through the Blue Ridge Mountains. The loft offers an additional sleeping area for one person. It has a twin bed and can support a maximum of 225 lbs.
