Boutique style accommodation w. 10 double cabins

In the harbor of the medieval town of Monnickendam, just a stones throw away from downtown Amsterdam, we offer hospitality on board our boutique-style passenger ship. With our cozy 10 double cabins, our stylish lounge area and open kitchen, groups of 10 to 20 persons will find a cozy and private place to stay for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. Just 10 minutes from Amsterdam with car (free parking nearby) or 25 min. with public transport. The ship has excellent heating for the wintermonths. The space Your group will have the exclusive use of the ship, no sharing with others. You will be sleeping in the 10 private double cabins we have on board. Each cabin has a bunk bed with comfortable mattresses and pillows, a sink with drinking water and an independent heating system. Duvets and towels are also provided. There are 2 toilets and 2 showers on board, which you will be sharing with each other. The fully equipped and modern kitchen is available for your use and it's located in the same room as the lounge area, where dining tables and a loungecorner invite you to share good times. The ship is moored in the old harbor of Monnickendam and from the deck you can enjoy the view towards the lake of Gouwzee. A seating area outside is available for smoking as well as pillows and fleeceblankets for your comfort. The settings on board are relaxed and laid back but also have a professional standard. The ship is accessible 24/7. We get the question about seasickness in the harbor a lot: no need to wory, the ship is much to big to move substantionaly and we have never ever had seasick guests. Come with your family or friends to enjoy a weekend nearby Amsterdam or come with your company colleagues for an outing, a convention or a fair. Additional services: Full supermarket service: I'll get your groceries for you prior to your arrival; Just let me know what you want. Service fee: 50 euro. Sailing trips: it is possible to take the ship for a sail during yor stay. Ranging from just a couple of hours, a full day or even a full weekend. I need to organize a crew though so I need to know of it some weeks in advance. The price is 250 euro per hour with a minimum of two hours. A two day trip is 1800 euro. Possible destinations are Volendam, Marken, Hoorn and Enkhuizen, depending on wind and weather. Other things to note We do welcome groups that want to celebrate a bachelor party. But we do not want the ship itself to be the main party location, after some bad experiences with that in the past. We put much of our passion into maintaining and improving our ship and want guests that appreciate this kind kind of approach.
