Professional landscaping in the front includes Joshua trees, a palo verde tree, oleanders, pomegranite trees, and Sonoran Desert cactus, including prickly pear and cholla. The backyard features a Joshua Tree Forest, a heated salt water pool, a gazebo with a see through roof for stargazing, a desert beach, a misquite tree, a gas BBQ that never runs out of gas. The ULTIMATE BACKYARD also has a basketball hoop on the pool, and horseshoes! Inside: Walk inside to the massive open floor plan with a dining area with a large table that seats 8, which converges into the kitchen which features a electric range with quick boil, an inverter microwave for slow cooking, a stainless steel range hood, and a large side by side fridge with an ice maker and filtered water. Level 4 granite counterops with oak cabinetry give it a nice look. Kitchen also has a dishwasher with a 1HP garbage disposal. Off the kitchen is a large living room with a fireplace off the pool patio. The split floorplan has a bonus room on one side with mountain views, and a pool table, and trundle beds. On the opposite wing you will find 2 bedrooms, a master suite, and bathrooms featuring travertine tile. The master has a jumbo luxury shower head. Office space: Calling all teleworkers! Our home features office space in one of the bedrooms with comfy office chairs. Each room also has a casting/mirroring enabled smart TV, which you can use as a second monitor with your laptop if you have the right equipment. Escape from the noise in the house and go to your private area to work. Comfort: Many houses in Twentynine Palms do not have air conditioning, they have swamp coolers. You're in luck here with AC that blows ice cubes. We use a HEPA rated filter to keep the dust down. Every bedroom on the house's bedroom wing has fans with dimmable lights. All feature wood shutters, with blackout curtains, for a peaceful nights rest. All beds have 100% cotton sheets and 100% cotton blankets (duvets are microfiber). Enjoy endless hot water from a tankless electric water heater. Master bathroom features a jumbo sized shower head. House is energy efficient with dual pane windows and quality insulation. Mattresses are all medium firm and fiberglass free. Conservation: Our home offers some green features. We minimize plastic waste with our bathroom supplies. Our A/C returns to a reasonable temperature range throughout the day. The pool features a salt-water chlorinator. We recycle and expect guests to do the same. Pool Heat: We have the warmest pool in the low desert. We heat our water in THREE ways! One is with aquathermal solar, second is with gas, third is with pool blanket. Solar aquathermal is FREE and works well April 1-Sep 30 and maxes out in mid 80's. Gas heat is needed to keep pool swimmable from Nov 1-March 30 and is $249 for the first day and $129 for each subsequent day and keeps it at a ridiculously warm 90 degrees. Gas heat in the warmer months from April1-Sep30 is $129 for the first day and $89 for each subsequent day and will guarantee the pool at 90 degrees. Gas heat is available year-round, in case the weather is too cold on the day you arrive for the electric or solar heater to be effective. The solar blanket is required year round to keep Mother Nature happy, it reduces energy loss by 90%. If you select one add-on, it must be for all days of your booking, not just one day. 90 degrees is similar temperature to a warm bath. Just let us know after booking if you want to add the gas heat. Entertainment: Our home features life-sized canvases in the house, never leave the house and you can take selfies on the in the national park! The house offers basketballs to go play some hoops at the park (5-minute walk), a good selection of board games and poker chips/card games, casting/mirroring enabled Roku TV’s in every room (“BYOS/Bring your own subscription”). We also have a smokeless firepit/bbq and natural gas grill for unlimited cooking in the backyard! We also have Xfinity Cable TV available for mobile phones only to cast to our smart TV’s if you have a sports event you need to watch. Above, the night sky is sublime, and, if your tastes run to astronomy, we have a special connection with the "Sky's the Limit" Observatory and Nature Center, on the border of, and just outside the main entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, where star gazing is generally available with experts and their large telescopes on Saturday nights. Many of our guests have seen their first pass of the International Space Station from our Pool Deck. (Ask for details, the schedule is available on the Internet).Without question, the surrounding landscape is the magic bonus of this property. We do have neighbors in front of us and to our right but to our left we have an empty lot and we are in a large lot neighborhood. We are 10 minutes from the park entrance!
