The space Our southwestern style rustic home includes massive wood vigas, brick and tile floors and a cozy wood burning kiva fireplace. The master bedroom has a wood burning stove with en suite featuring a soaking tub and shower. Living room has built-in banco seating and the sitting area is perfect for curling up with your favorite book while taking in the back yard views. The open living areas have four futons that when extended can also be used for sleeping. Additionally we have a tri-fold portable floor mat that easily accommodates your extra sleeping needs. (kids love it). The house has a full kitchen, washer and dryer and additional bathroom for your convenience. The deck off of the loft area overlooks the Taos Valley and is perfect for watching a beautiful New Mexico sunset. Sleeping Areas: 1. Master Bedroom: Private room with queen size bed and en suite 2. Upstairs loft: 2 firm double futons, overlooking first floor 3. Downstairs living & sitting area: 2 firm queen size futons (used for seating or sleeping) Optional: individual fold out mat for floor sleeping (kids love it) Firewood for the fireplace is not provided. Wood can be purchased in town. A variety of games are in the drawers below the futons. A selection of books are in the small wooden cabinet behind the dinning room. (Take one, leave one.) Guest access Please watch the steps coming down from the parking, you will need a flashlight if arriving at night. The flood lights should come on as you come down the steps. There are two steps down to the bedroom and bathroom and stairs up to the loft area which has two futons. Guests are welcome to explore the two wooded acres around the house. Other things to note If you plan to prepare your meals in house, it is easier to stop for groceries on your way in. Smith's and Albertsons are larger grocery store in Taos, Cid's Food Market is a natural and organic food store at 623 Paseo del Pueblo Norte. Sol Food Market & Cafe is a small natural grocery in Arroyo Seco for necessities. A couple of places to eat in Arroyo Seco include, Abe's Bar & Grill, Aceq, and Sol Cafe. Due to wild animal activity, on TUESDAY MORNING ONLY, take trash to the green bin at the top of the drive. Please leave bagged trash in the front entry on every other day.
