Water Front & Dog Friendly Beach Retreat

The Flip Flop Beach Retreat is a lovely cottage by the sea located in the heart of Dauphin Island! Enjoy your own private beach and beautiful views of the Mississippi Sound. Three bedrooms, loft and fantastic covered porch lends itself to complete relaxation. Fully equipped kitchen makes eating-in a joy. This house has covered parking for 4 vehicles. We are dog friendly, pet fee $100 per stay. Only steps away from the water and perfectly set up for your fur baby. Ready for your family getaway! The space Three private bedrooms and one open loft are fitted with comfortable beds and fresh linens. For extra guests there is a fold out couch in the living room. We have a beach porch that offers folding chairs, beach wagon, boogy boards, and umbrellas. An outdoor shower with hot and cold water make de-sanding easy. The kitchen is fully equipped, the laundry has full sized washer and dryer. Shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent and softener are provided. A small fenced area allows your dog to freely access the ground level as needed. Guest access There is enough room for four cars at our house. Gulf side beach parking is by permit only. You can obtain a permit by stopping at the Police Headquarters and providing your Airbnb email receipt. Our access point is at St. Stephens which is only a two block walk from the house. The beach that we are located on is yours to enjoy, please bring in all beach items daily because the wind or a person will take them away. Please note that all piers are private property, do not cut through any yards or access any pier. Other things to note This is a barrier island that is prone to any type of weather. For the most part we are sunny and happy, but on occasion we will have high wind, rain and every few years a hurricane. Please check the weather here before your arrival. We provide pet towels and a feeding station for your dog. We have a small fenced-in relief area at the bottom of the stairs and we ask that you please clean up after your pet. The pet fee is $100 per stay. We do not allow parties, but in the event that you celebrate a birthday for your child we ask that no glitter or confetti be used. Please note that these items are made of plastic and can not be cleaned from the sand and beach. Do not release balloons into the air, they will come down and become garbage for someone to clean from their yard. They also harm birds and aquatic life.
