Description
Buckley's of Dunolly, a former goldfields hotel, has three upstairs luxuriously appointed double bedrooms with queen size beds, one with private ensuite. The upstairs breakfast room has coffee, tea, cereal, microwave and fridge. The former ballroom is for your exclusive use, with television, comfortable sofas, board games and books. The owner lives downstairs on the property. The upstairs is private for your exclusive private booking. We are situated on fifteen acres of garden and bushland. The space There were many gold rush miners on this property during the gold rush. There was even a hospital and a butcher on the grounds. Only bricks and rubble are left from the former buildings, but many fossickers still find gold in the district. We have echidnas and wallabies on the property as well as micro-bats, owls and shingleback lizards . It is a perfect area for star gazing as there are no street lights and lots of "big sky". Guest access The entire upstairs is for the exclusive use of the guests. Guests are welcome to explore the bushland on the property. Other things to note The bedrooms and guest lounge are all upstairs. We have pet dogs who are very friendly and will bark a welcome. They do not come upstairs. There is a baby grand piano and wood fireplace downstairs in the Melba Lounge. You are welcome to use this area.
