While guests love the serenity, we’ve received some 4-star reviews due to the distance from amenities. Parking: We offer one-car garage parking, plus room for one car in the steep driveway. No trailers permitted on the property. The Sunroom: Attached to the home, this space has no central air but is surrounded by windows that invite in a refreshing breeze. A faux fireplace offers cozy warmth during chilly months, and a sliding door opens to the main home for AC on hot days. Cozy Comforts: Curl up in front of the electric fireplace, grab a throw blanket, and unwind with one of the many books or board games provided. Entertainment: The Roku smart TV includes Netflix and Hulu. You can also log in to your own streaming accounts for more options. For Coffee & Tea Lovers: You’ll find a 6-cup coffee maker, whole beans, grinder, filters, and sugar. For tea, we provide assorted teas, a stovetop kettle, and honey. Happy Hour Touches: Enjoy bar trays with a wine decanter and glasses, a whiskey decanter with rocks glasses, and cocktail tools. To maintain these thoughtful amenities, inventory is regularly checked. Guest access As guests of La Casita you’ll have access to the home, front yard and deck. Other things to note A few other thoughtful notes to help provide a 5-star stay: This is a 1915 cottage home with a septic system and on a water well. Our home is on the lake and we pay a monthly pest service; please note there will still be lingering nature bugs outside such as mosquitoes, bees a wasp or two and ladybugs. Treatment is also paid for inside the home. Several repellant options such as Citronella candles and tiki torch oil are provided for your comfort and located inside of the sunroom bins. The electric fireplace is remote operated with separate settings for heat and fire display. The control is on the console.
