Located minutes from Glenrowan village and just 20 minutes to Wangaratta and Benalla, Longview Estate is perfectly situated for access to all the region has to offer. As suggested by the name, the property features expansive, elevated views across the local district, perfectly framing the Strathbogie Ranges and Winton Wetlands. Enjoy your self-contained space in the Whitehouse with two comfortable queen bedrooms, spacious living/dining area and kitchen with all you need to stay a while. The space You’ll truly feel at home in the Whitehouse. With the comfort of a queen-sized bed, high quality linen and towels, and spectacular views, you will be at ease during your stay. The space has been completely renovated in 2022 and is light, bright and comfortable. Both bedrooms are fitted with plantation shutters for privacy, with the living room picture window having a motorised external awning to reduce westerly sun in summer without impacting the amazing view. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals with pots, pans, utensils, electric stove/oven and microwave. We also provide an espresso machine with a full hopper of beans for your stay. In the cooler months, cosy up inside with our wood fired heater (May - Sept). We provide our guests with kindling, fire lighters and wood for their stay. Between October and April the hot tub is the perfect place to soak up the adventures of the day over a glass of wine whilst enjoying the sunset. Please note, for out of season spa use there is a $50 one off fee to cover power and cleaning. We often get asked about how private the hot tub is. Due to its location between the guesthouse and main house (to maximise the views), it is not considered “private” and we cannot guarantee we will not need to walk through the space (although we do try and limit movement at all times during guest visits). That said, if using the spa in the evening (after 6-6:30) you will be unlikely to see anyone as we are most often inside with our young family. Guest access The Whitehouse is a self-contained unit which includes two bedrooms, bathroom, and open plan living, dining and fully equipped kitchen. Please note nightly price is based on two guests sharing one bedroom. If the second bedroom is used there will be an additional cleaning fee of $25. The unit is close to the main house but a completely separate dwelling. In the front yard of the main home (accessed through a single access gate), you have access to a small deck with table & chairs and barbecue. Other things to note Please be mindful that we are in the country and back on to a national park. This means we have some beautiful wildlife that come onto the property, and these are always best viewed and enjoyed from a distance. We are on tank water and sewerage is managed by a septic system. We ask you to please keep showers to no longer than 5 minutes and do not flush anything that may clog the septic system (anything other than toilet paper is a no-no!). Although there are no clothes washing facilities in the unit, you are more than welcome to use the host’s facilities, please just let us know so we can show you to the laundry and provide you with detergent.
