House of Wood: warm design nest with hot tub

Huis van Hout is an architect's house with natural materials, off-grid for water and electricity. Blissful comfort for work or fun. Enjoy the tranquility of our spacious garden, there is a swing and maze with tall grass, and the chickens welcome you. You can also use the terrace and you can reserve our Weltevree hot tub (125 euros). Overlooking the Limburg fields! The space If you love design, you'll feel right at home here. You will stay in a separate house under the same roof. I am an interior journalist and aim for Belgian design with, among other things, the beautiful colorful poufs from Casalis. Nature is also never far away: the plants filter our water, and the sun supplies our electricity. The house always feels cozy and is well ventilated thanks to natural insulation materials and a high-tech ventilation system D. The plantations around the house provide a fantastic panorama during your hot tub session. There are two bedrooms on the floor, each with a comfortable double bed (e.g. from Auping). Our bedding and towels are made of natural materials (Yumeko). There is one bathroom. Downstairs you will find a hyper-complete open kitchen (Smeg and Siemens), dining area and living room. There is also a laundry room, and there are two toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs. Please note, the master bedroom is an open room without a door, so you may not be able to create complete privacy between the two bedrooms. As a result, the design lodge is less suitable for 2 adult couples, but very nice for young families. Outside on the Belgian bluestone terrace is the orange hot tub from Weltevree, an ecological Jacuzzi that runs on wood. You can heat it yourself for a fee (125 euros). The water is then recycled and filtered by the plants. The wood comes from the surrounding apple tree plantations. For your hot tub session, you only use local resources in a circular way, which is great for the environment. The architectural design is from the sustainable architectural firm eProjects. Guest access You can use the entire house (80 m2 over 2 floors). In the photo of the garden, that is the right part of the house with separate exterior doors. On the left, we live ourselves. You can check in with a key code for the electronic locks. Parking on our premises is free and close to the house. If you would like to park inside the basement garage, you can do so for a fee. Please note: from the street, you will be staying in the left part of the house, completely separate from our house, with your own entrance. Other things to note You can order a healthy luxury breakfast at Huis van Hout for 79 euros. It will be delivered to your home. Pre-order. You may do that from home. Check the Guest Guide you receive via a message after your reservation. Pancakes, quiche, salmon, yogurt and fruit salad, everything is there, in a luxurious atmosphere. We provide (in addition to toxin-free shower gel and shampoo) for your organic coffee beans, tea, filtered water, organic olive oil, unrefined salt, and black pepper. All products contain pure ingredients, our philosophy of life. We want to protect our wooden floor as much as possible, and therefore always ask you to take off your shoes before you enter. The wooden floor never feels cold! In summer, it is ecologically cooled (our air conditioning). You heat the hot tub yourself (count on at least 3 hours of warm-up time) and book it in advance. You can arrange the extra reservation (125 euros) via the Guest Guide after you have booked, or even pay on site. Finally, you can also rent electric bikes from us. They are brand new and perfectly maintained. You have to book them 1 day in advance. Let us know!
