In our food garden you can also find fructiferous trees, as well as our hens, a Belgian bluestone terrace to enjoy al fresco dinners and a hot tub (125 eur) to relax & enjoy the landscape. The space If you love design, just come to our place. I'm a former design journalist and know that design is always more sustainable than normal furniture. We like Belgian design, with for example the colourful poufs by Casalis. We focus on filtering our own water, produce our own electricity, and the house feels very cosy, well ventilated thanks to natural insolation and a high tech ventilation system. The orchards around the house give an amazing panorama while you'll sit in our hot tub. We have 2 bedrooms available for you, each with an extremely comfortable double bed (Auping). De bed linen en towels are made of natural fibers (Yumeko). The bedrooms share 1 bathroom. Downstairs you'll find a fully equipped kitchen (Smeg and Siemens), eating room and living room. There is also a laundry room. The house has a toilet upstairs and downstairs. Please note that the master bedroom is an open room without a door, so you may not be able to create complete privacy between the two bedrooms. This makes the design lodge less suitable for 2 adult couples, but very convenient for young families. Outside, feel free to use our bath tub by Weltevree (wood fired - fee of 125 euro), the terrace (Belgian hardstone) and a huge garden. Our plant filter will recycle the hot tub water after your use. We harvested the wood for the fire from old apple plantations around our house, this is circular, local wood. Your woodfire doesn’t harm the environment at all. The architectural design is by the sustainable architect's office eProjecten. Guest access You have the whole house of 80 m2 at your disposal. On the photos of the garden, this is the right side of the house, fully independent from our part next door, with a seperate entrance. You can check in with a key code. The locks are electronic. Parking is free on our terrain and is available at your doorstep. If you want to park inside our basement garage, then just ask us in advance. It's certainly possible (for a fee). Seen from the street, you will stay in the left part of the building. There is no interconnection between our house and the guesthouse. Other things to note You can order a healthy breakfast with us, delivered at your doorstep. After you've made your reservation, you'll find further details and a link to order in a message. Enjoy pancakes, salmon and so much more, at home. Apart from toxin-free shampoo and shower gel, we will provide for you: coffee, tea, filtered water, organic olive oil, unrefined salt and black pepper. All products contain only the purest ingredients, according to our own life philosophy. We have a no-shoe policy in the house since we want to protect the wooden floors. If you don't like to walk barefoot or on your socks, please bring your own comfy slippers, but please never use them outside. The floor never feels cold! Except in summer, when eco floor airco is active! If you like the hot tub, you'll need to book it in advance for practical reasons. It takes 4 hours to heat the tub, and you'll look after the fire yourself. The extra cost (mainly for the wood) is due while you are here. Just contact us for all the details.
