Welcome to Highwoods Retreat! Our home is a spacious, contemporary retreat nestled on over 2.5 acres, framed by ferns and hemlocks. Whether you are visiting with family or friends, or looking to work remotely, Highwoods is well-suited for all types of guests and groups. Backyard trails. 2 hours from NYC. The space Highwoods Retreat is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home located in a quiet neighborhood in Saugerties, NY. The location is ideal for those seeking to explore Woodstock, Saugerties, Kingston, and the Catskills. About 10 mins from I-87, 15 mins to Rt. 28, 15 mins to the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge. Enter the home at the front door and be greeted by soaring ceilings and a beautifully appointed living space. The chic living room is perfect for enjoying cocktails in front of the fireplace, playing board games (which are provided!), or watching a film on the large screen television. The open kitchen is equipped with brand new appliances and a variety of cooking tools and utensils, ready for guests to prepare their favorite meals. Sit at the counter stools for casual dining, or enjoy the more formal dining area. The kitchen windows facing the deck bring in wonderful natural light. The kitchen is stocked with essentials like paper towels, dish soap and sponge, salt and pepper, olive oil, sugar. The large main bedroom features a king size bed with memory foam pillows, hotel quality bedding, and lots of natural light. Guests are welcome to put belongings inside the dresser as well as the walk in closet. There is a full bathroom connected, just through the closet. This bathroom features a large his and hers sink set up, a bathtub with shower, as well as a second smaller shower. Down the hallway the second full bathroom has a bathtub with shower. We provide complimentary shampoo, body wash and conditioner from Public Goods. The two guest bedrooms have queen sized beds. Store belongings in the large closets. Both queen beds are fitted with hotel quality sheets and super comfy Casper pillows. There is a desk setup with computer monitor in one of the guest bedrooms. From the kitchen area, there are two staircases, one leading to the upstairs loft and one to the finished basement. The loft is an ideal multi-use space featuring a small round table, a work desk with a computer monitor, comfortable couches and a large flat screen TV. There is also a Peloton machine guests can use (must bring your own shoes). Head downstairs to the finished basement to find the laundry room, more lounge areas, and a table for work or games. There is an additional queen sized bed in the basement for any extra guests. Please Note: We have an extra guest fee to cover the cost of extra cleaning and maintenance. The mattress is a firm Tempur-Pedic. Memory foam pillows. Garage can be accessed through the basement. We have a camera in the garage for security purposes and we ask that guests not use while visiting. We will make exceptions for anyone staying a week or more, especially in the winter. Outdoors: Guests have access to the entire property which is 2.6 acres. Meander the backyard trails and admire the wonderful native plants. The deck is accessed from the backyard, as well as through the kitchen and living room sliding doors. Enjoy the 5 person hot tub all year round. The deck features a gas grill, as well as a Big Green Egg charcoal grill. Enjoy dinner al fresco at the dining table or a glass of wine around the propane fire pit! Please note that we have one outdoor security camera at the front door and one security camera inside the garage. We respect your privacy and use these for security and emergency purposes only. There are no cameras inside the house. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house. The garage is the only area that guests will not have permission to use. *Disclosure: There are security cameras inside the garage. Additionally, there are a few locked closets with owner’s belongings. Other things to note Our home is well suited for those looking for a work retreat. There are multiple computer monitor set ups in the home, high speed internet, and lots of space for co-working. Additionally, with expansive living spaces and 3 bedrooms, the home is great for bachelorette parties and other special occasions. Please get in touch to plan your special event.
