Peaceful Lakefront Getaway 16 Miles from Branson!

Rustic meets modern in this newly decorated 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin located at Edgewater Beach Resort in Forsyth, MO. Take in the gorgeous views of Lake Taneycomo as you relax on the private back porch. Prepare a meal or a hot cup of coffee in the fully stocked kitchen. Resort amenities include a fire pit, outdoor pool, playground, laundry room, and a fish cleaning station. Boats and boat slips are also available to rent. We are located next to Empire Park and are just 16 miles from Branson. Other things to note Lake Taneycomo is a cold-water lake that is famous for trout fishing. The average water temperature is around 48 degrees. Most people use the lake for fishing and boating, not swimming. The lake will look different based on the seasons, weather, and the flow of water in the lake. It is common to see a large amount of duckweed in the lake, especially in the coves, during periods of high heat. It isn't attractive, but it is harmless. The maintenance crew at the resort constantly works to keep the coves looking as nice as possible, but it is a natural body of water, so there's only so much that can be done. You are allowed to fish anywhere at the resort. If you don't have any luck there, you can try Empire Park, next door, or the dam. I also have information for a local fishing guide that I can pass along. Boats are available to rent at the resort. You will be sent the link for that after you make your reservation. All of the boats were purchased new in 2024. The pontoon boats are $399 a day, the bass tracker is $250 a day, and the G3 fishing boat is $150 a day. Let me know if you would like to add a boat slip to your reservation. Those are $20/night plus tax. An initial supply of k-pods, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags is provided. Guests will need to supply anything they need beyond the initial supply.
