Penthouse, 1 Br 1 Ba unit in the Village at Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley) Available only a few weeks per year Walk to lifts, restaurants, shops, spa, yoga & nightlife Full kitchen with dishwasher, range, microwave, refrigerator and more Fully equipped with cookware and dishes Wifi and large TV for evening entertainment Cozy gas fireplace and A/C Private balcony with a one-of-a-kind view of Shirley Canyon & KT Free underground gated parking, gym, hot tub & ski locker This unit is actually a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit, but the door is locked to the master bedroom and bathroom as that is the tenants personal space. Guests will use the guest bedroom and bathroom plus living room, kitchen and dining room area - but will have the whole unit to themselves during their stay. Bedroom has a queen size bed and Living room has a queen sleeper sofa. The unit has a well equipped kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, range, toaster, coffee maker and more. Fully equipped with cookware and dishes. Large 65" TV in the living room (no TV in the bedroom) and Free Wifi Our private balcony has views of Shirley Canyon. Ski lifts, restaurants, spa, yoga and shops are just a short walk from the unit. Occupancy tax included in our rates. *** Note for renters: you will be required to sign the following agreement after renting. The person listed can occupy the property on the dates selected in their reservation only and agree to bring NO pets. Check in is after 3pm on the date of arrival above. Check out is by 10am on the date of departure listed above. There shall be no use or occupancy of the Premises other than by the Renter(s) Party nor shall the Renter(s) Party use or occupy or permit the Premises or any part thereof to be used or occupied for any unlawful, illegal, immoral or hazardous purposes. Upon stay of the Premises, Renter(s) shall return the Premises to Owner broom clean and in the same condition as received. For example: they will put all dishes in the dishwasher and take the trash out when leaving. Owner makes no representations or warranties whatsoever concerning the nature, condition or contents of the Premises other than as specified in the description on the rental website. Renter(s) & the Renter(s) Party acknowledge and agree that lost or stolen personal items are not the responsibility of the Owner. Renter(s) will be mailed a key in advance to enter the home. They will only use the key during the dates they have reservations, and they will leave the key and parking pass in the unit when they check out. If they cancel their reservation, they agree to mail the key back to the owner promptly. Any damages to the Premises or its contents during the occupancy period caused through Renter(s) or the Renter(s) Party’s actions or negligence are the responsibility of Renter(s). Renter(s) shall reimburse Owner. Renter(s) & all members of the Renter(s) Party shall hold Owner harmless from all claims or causes of action arising from the rental and occupancy of the residence. Participating in any activity while at the Premises is voluntary and performed at Renter(s) risk. Renter(s) & the Renter(s) Party agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Owner from any/all liability for loss, damages, costs and expenses (including attorney’s fees), claims, suits and demands arising from any accident, injury, loss (personal or physical) or damage whatsoever, during Renter(s) & the Renter(s) Party’s stay at the Premises. Renter(s) & the Renter(s) Party agree to waive any right to bring a legal action arising out of or relating to participation by them in any activities or use of the equipment, facilities or any services provided. This waiver includes, but is not limited to, use of all equipment, recreational facilities, residential areas, sidewalk/paths, trails or passageways and roads to the Premises. Owner is not responsible for any loss of electricity or internet due to power outages resulting from weather or operational problems at the electric company or for trip cancellations due to weather or personal circumstances. Cancellation Policy: Renter(s) will pay close attention to the cancellation policy and follow its rules. If they Renter(s) mistake the date for the wrong one and want a refund or credit outside of the cancellation policy, it is not the Owner(s) responsibility to make any changes to the policy. Avalanche Risk Notice: This building is located within a Potential Avalanche Area (PAHA). Avalanche control work is carried out in some areas. Explosives are commonly used for this purpose. You may receive special advisories or instructions from avalanche control personnel during period when such control work is being performed. During times of severe snowstorms or weather conditions, which may produce high avalanche hazards, authorities may attempt to contact property owners to advise them of current conditions in avalanche zones, You must stay informed of weather conditions and rely ultimately on your own judgment. Tune into local radio stations on your rental property or car radio for information. For location information concerning avalanche control or local road closures, you may call: Office of Emergency Services, the Local Fire Department, or the Sherriff’s Office. You are urged to become better informed about avalanches by contacting the Placer County Office of Emergency Services or by reading the pamphlets available from the Placer County Planning Department and/or Building Department branch offices located in Tahoe City. Optional: For emergencies trip insurance, please research your own options and purchase before your stay begins. Access to public hot tubs, sauna, gym, private ski locker, underground parking (one spot), coin-op laundry and elevator access to all floors. Village has a media room with big screen TV and game consoles, children's game room and pool table. The Village has bonfires, restaurants, bars, sauna, gym, hot tub and shops. The area is very walkable. You can also visit Alice's Market in the Village to buy wine and basic groceries. Our condo is independently owned and operated. As such, front desk amenities are not available. All needs will go directly to the host, not to the Village front desk. Daily housekeeping is NOT included in these discounted rental rates, but can be arranged directly through us should you desire for a fee. Advance notice is needed. Lastly, we are new to Airbnb hosting and plan to do it only a few times per year. We just purchased the condo recently and are excited to share it with others (this is why we don't have reviews yet). We do have 1 review from when we attempted to host our Denver apartment many years ago, but had to cancel unexpectedly due to circumstances outside of our control.
