Stay in a spacious hacienda in the beautiful and quiet neighborhood of San Felipe del Agua. Just outside of the hustle and bustle of El Centro, but so close. Only a 15 minute taxi ($4) gets you there. Local bus line is also available at the end of the street. Beautiful views of the north mountains from the rooftop terrace, and plenty of room for yoga too. Ideal for remote workers, traveling families or a great spot for three couples or a girls trip! Oaxaca awaits and is ready to enchant you! You have the entire two-story, three-bedroom, villa-like, hacienda all to yourself. Enjoy walks to the local farmers market on Tuesday and Saturday morning to gather your fresh produce to prepare in the full kitchen. The rooftop terrace is the perfect place for a morning or evening beverage, offering a beautiful view of the north mountains, and stargazing. There is room for yoga too. PLEASE NOTE: Children under 12 are only allowed on the roof with adult supervision. There are low railings and electric fence. As well, children must be supervised on the spiral staircase to the roof. The front room of the house is spacious, and divided for use as a quiet space for meditation, or yoga, and a home office. You have full, private access to the entire hacienda. We have a team of people ready to assist you if needed. San Felipe del Agua is a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. While Oaxaca is full of the sounds of Mexico (Bread trucks, the donut man, roosters and other birds, dogs barking, fireworks, etc..) San Felipe is relatively quiet. Not free from some of these sounds, but much less than being in El Centro. It is part of the charm of being here. Please come prepared if you are sensitive to noise. There are so many amazing neighborhood hikes right out your front door! Walk to incredible vistas, stunning architecture, neighborhood churches and the higher you hike, the more nature you come across. (See the guidebook and photos for examples) The neighborhood is walkable to produce markets, our organic store (Meerkat), multiple restaurants, cafes, tiendas, and public transportation. The house includes a private parking space inside the gate. For those without a car.. the bus and taxis are picked up at the end of our street. There are also colectivos in town to drive you further out of town and tour companies we can recommend as well!
