Rural New Forest Cottage - The Lodge at Stocks

Escape to this charming countryside cottage, perfectly equipped for a relaxing and hassle-free holiday. Nestled in the picturesque Downlands village of Damerham, within the stunning Cranborne Chase National Landscape, it offers the ideal blend of tranquility and convenience. A fantastic village pub is just down the road, while the New Forest National Park, Bournemouth’s beautiful beaches, and the breathtaking Jurassic Coast are all within easy reach. The space A Spacious & Welcoming Home Away from Home, the Lodge offers a warm and inviting retreat, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Inside the Lodge Downstairs, you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, complete with patio doors leading to a private courtyard garden. The cozy lounge is perfect for unwinding, and a good-sized bathroom ensures convenience during your stay. At the heart of the Lodge, a beautiful mezzanine wood landing connects two spacious bedrooms—one at each end of the property. Both bedrooms feature luxurious king-size beds, which can also be arranged as twin beds if preferred (please note, the beds cannot be moved apart when set up as singles). Outdoor Space The Lodge boasts its own private and tranquil courtyard, designed for relaxation. Enjoy comfortable outdoor seating and ambient festoon lighting - perfect for warm evenings after a day of exploring. Discover the Village Nestled in a charming village with a small river running through it, The Lodge is surrounded by nature and local charm. Stroll to the country pub, which occasionally hosts live music occasionally at weekends, or let little ones enjoy the wooden play park. For those who love the outdoors, there plenty of scenic rural walks which offer breathtaking views across the Downlands. There is other on-street parking available around the village too if needed. Long-wheel based vans and larger vehicles will not fit in the parking space. Other things to note Occupancy The Lodge accommodates a maximum of 4 guests, plus 1 infant sleeping in a travel cot. We cannot accept bookings exceeding this limit. There is space for only one travel cot. Visitors Only guests included in the booking are permitted on the premises. Any visitors must have our prior permission. No Pets Unfortunately, we cannot accept pets at the Lodge, regardless of how well behaved they may be. Thank you for understanding. Early check in/late check out We will always let guests know if the Lodge is ready earlier than 4pm but can’t guarantee it in advance. Late check out can be offered occasionally but will be subject to availability and carry a charge of £25 for 2 hours. Please request this in advance and we will do what we can to confirm if we can accommodate this. Parking and Vehicle Access One designated parking space is provided for guests, located in front of the Lodge by the lavender beds. This space accommodates one large car. Guest vehicles must be parked in this allocated space only; vehicles must not be driven beyond the main gates or onto the driveway beyond the designated parking area. Pedestrian Gate Please do not lock the pedestrian gate leading onto our driveway, as this prevents us from accessing the property. Roof Windows Please close the Velux windows in the bedroom whenever you leave the Lodge, particularly when rain is forecast, to protect the property and your belongings. Children We can accommodate children and welcome families often. We have stair gates available as well as a bath mat, play mat, one high chair & one travel cot (Red Kite Sleep Tight) all available upon request. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use any of these. Children are their parents/guardians responsibility whilst staying at the Lodge and we can accept no responsibility for children during their stay. Coffee Machine We provide a Magimix Nespresso coffee machine, please bring your own pods. Other We do not accept bookings from contractors and/or indirect bookings for work accommodation.
