Description
Slow life down at our stunning Yorkshire cottage. Blessed with all-encompassing views of the Yorkshire Dales, this is your chance to get outdoors, relax, and embrace nature. Our cosy hillside farmhouse rests within the Broughton Sanctuary: England's biggest rewilding project and the setting for TV's Gentleman Jack and All Creatures Great and Small. With free access to the Estate’s wildlife-rich grounds, you can spend days walking and cycling, picnicking, and enjoying quality family activities like foraging, bushcraft, and tree planting. So you can be restored and feel like you again. The space Perched on the edge of dramatic, heather-flecked moorland, our detached, 3-bedroom cottage could be taken straight from the pages of Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights. It enjoys big sky views over the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Three Peaks Mountains, Skipton, and Bronte Country itself. And there are countless rabbits and grouse to spot close by too! Dating back to the 17th century, our holiday let retains many original features: wooden beams, vaulted ceilings, stone fireplaces, and natural window surrounds. It feels wonderfully romantic. There’s a choice of snug living spaces and dining areas to give everyone room to relax. The two living rooms have wood burners that are tailor-made for winter nights and quiet times with a book. While the separate galleried seating area gives the kids a space to call their own. Upstairs, all three of the tastefully decorated bedrooms have plush super king size beds. These can each be changed to twins to suit your family or group. The setting Our unique holiday cottage sits within Broughton Sanctuary’s 3,000-acre Estate – a wonderland of meadows, woods, moorland, reservoirs, rivers, and streams. And you’re free to explore it all! Just a short walk from the property you'll discover our wild swimming pool and woodland sauna. While a beautiful, 16th-century stately home and gardens await you at the centre of the Estate along with Avalon: a wellbeing centre, gym, and pool (bookable in advance).
