Seaside Retreat – Cosy 2-Bed, Garden & Murals
Description
Welcome to your seaside escape — a cosy, art-filled hideaway just two minutes from the beach. This relaxed little home is full of personality, plants, and sunshine. My sister’s hand-painted murals and original artwork give the space a creative, soulful feel, and the private garden (a total suntrap in summer) is perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. Whether you're here for sea swims, a weekend reset, or just a change of pace, this is the kind of place made for feeling at home. The space The house has two comfortable bedrooms — one with a double bed and the other with two singles — both with soft bedding, natural light, and space to fully exhale. The living room is relaxed and cosy, with fast Wi-Fi, a Fire Stick for streaming your favourites, and plenty of room to unwind after a beach day — whether you're reading, watching a film, or just taking it slow. The bathroom was fully refurbished last year with bold, geometric style, and gives you the best of both worlds: a walk-in shower and a deep bath for long soaks. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you need to cook up a great meal — including decent pans, proper wine glasses, and all the essentials to make cooking feel easy, not like a chore. Out back, there’s a little walled garden that feels like a hidden nook — great for lazy breakfasts or evening wine when the weather plays nice. Well-behaved dogs are more than welcome — it’s a great spot for four-legged beach lovers. This is a peaceful residential area, so no parties or loud music please. You're very welcome to enjoy the space, just be mindful of the lovely neighbours. Guest access Parking: As we're close to the seafront, on-street parking is permit-only and can get busy — but you can pull up outside briefly to drop off bags. There are three long-stay car parks within a 5–10 minute walk, usually around £6–8 per day, and most are free between 6pm and 8am. The closest (and biggest) is Swannery Car Park, and I’ve included a walking map in the listing to help you find your way. Other things to note I love sharing personalised recommendations — whether you're after sea swims, Sunday roasts, local walks, or hidden gems the locals keep quiet. If you're walking a stretch of the South West Coast Path, wild swimming, or just here for a weekend reset, this is a great base to recharge between adventures. And if you're celebrating something special during your stay, just let me know — I love adding a little magic where I can.
