Unique 1 bedroom farm-manor cottage

Welcome to our lovely Saint-Jean farm-manor, where our family has been living for the past 20 years and which is also home to a stud farm. Saint-Jean, breeding award-winning Lusitano horses, is located near the Brocéliande Forest. The Broceliande Forest is the perfect environment for quiet and beautiful walks along lakes and well known landmarks. July & August bookings open end of March of the same year. When booking, please consider that heating available is only via a woodburner. The space Welcoming private studio in extension of our main house. The space has been renovated in 2020 and its kitchen and bathroom are located in an old greenhouse, fitted with furniture made in the farm’s wood workshop. From the kitchen, you can enjoy a lovely cup of tea with a private yet lovely view on adjacent fields. Behind the studio is our covered heated swimming pool which our guests can use between June and September. Guest access We are located a 30 minute walk (5 minute drive) from the beautiful Forest of Broceliande, full of King Arthur mythologies. By car, the village of Paimpont or the Tremelin Lake leisure center are 15 minutes away and about an hour away you can equally find Rennes, a dynamic student city, or Saint-Malo, a popular harbour town on the north coast of Brittany. During your stay, you are welcome to walk along the many green lanes across our 30 hectares and visit the horses behind fences, however guests are not allowed in the stable buildings for safety reasons. Our horses are incredibly well trained and lovely but they do remain unpredictable animals. Other things to note While we will do our best to accommodate our guests, you should be aware that the farm is a commercial enterprise that is active all week long. This means there are clients, guests, horses, dogs, cats and chickens roaming around the property and the occasional small tractor driving around. The studio does not have wifi and the farm’s remote location and thick stone walls mean we have very little mobile signal.
