Bohemia @ PeculiarNest is a private suite with its own bathroom and private entry overlooking one of the last remaining natural resaca/lake in McAllen. Excellent birding and nature watching. You are welcome to harvest from the food forest whatever that is in season. Can accommodate large groups. The space Need a base while exploring south Texas birding hotspots? Look no further. This guest suite will be the perfect launchpad for all your adventures. Only problem is that you may not want to leave the place in the morning when there is so much action at the lake! At the end of a long day of birding, you can come back to your room and watch the egrets also getting ready for the night by perching on mesquite branches right outside your expansive windows. Stern and Foster queen mattress anchors the bed. The room has a large built in work station, and we installed large mirrors so you can see the outdoor view even when you are working! Currently the room is decorated in earth toned "Bohemian" look. The rug is vintage oriental, the baskets on the wall are from my grandfather's collection mixed with our more recent acquisitions. The tapestry is from also one of my grandfather's trips around the world. If you know the ethnic origin of that item, please do enlighten us! The Black and white framed calligraphy was commissioned by one of my uncles. The poetry is by Octavio Paz. We tried to make this room unique and personal. We hope you enjoy the space! Guest access Garden, decks, pier, picnic areas are shared spaces for the guests and the homeowner. Other things to note WIFI is provided by STARLINK. Only registered guests to be on the premise. No parties. Absolutely no loud music. We used to have a no pets policy, but we have been allowing some animals case by case. Please message us so we can determine we are a good fit for your animal companion. Please DO NOT strip beds when you check out. Gate remote should be returned to the room or the mailbox.
