Coral Tree West LA Escape: Secluded Garden Studio

A zen & contemporary studio nestled around a 50-year+ old coral tree. This space embodies California indoor /outdoor living, with oversized custom doors that open to a beautiful outside space with a dining table, reading nook, BBQ & fire-pit. Full kitchen. Queen bed in small nook with barn doors for privacy & king bed in our low-ceiling upstairs loft area. Sofa bed & 70" TV in living room. The secluded studio is in a quiet neighborhood in Marina Del Rey, close to Venice Beach, Playa Vista & LAX. The space Our studio home embodies the ethos of West Coast living, a uniquely designed indoor space nestled along an old coral tree with a large, peaceful outdoor garden. Enjoy Balinese decor, natural lighting, and zen vibes along with a peaceful garden area where you can soak up the sun or relax under the shade of a sprawling coral tree. The large living area features high ceilings, oversized custom glass doors, and art pieces from local artists as wells as imports from Bali . There's a comfy L-shaped couch where you can relax and enjoy the 70" SMART-TV that's connected to apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. The daybed is the perfect spot to relax with a book and enjoy the view of the garden. We have a desk where you can get a bit of work done if needed, and also an imported dining table that seats four. The couch folds out into a full sized bed. Toward the back of the living space is a queen-sized bed, separated by sliding barn doors for privacy. It's a small area, but just enough room for a good night's rest! There's a washer/dryer that you are welcome to use and we do provide detergent. We also have some closet and storage space under the stairs and by the laundry area. The upstairs finished loft area has a low-profile king bed and a couple of end tables. There's also a skylight window. The loft offers an epic view of the studio space! Please note, though, that it has a low ceiling and is not really a traditional "bedroom" space. Anyone over 5' 8" will need to hunch over a bit to access the bed; the room also slopes lower on the right side. We do have a privacy curtain that you can draw if you'd like. The kitchen area is stocked with dishware, glassware, flatware, cookware, and most items needed to make a meal. There's a custom fridge/freezer and dishwasher, along with a stove-top oven, microwave, toaster oven, blender, and drip coffee maker. We also have a little breakfast nook table. Outside, there's a large garden where you can dine al fresco on the big table under the coral tree. There's a BBQ that you are free to use and also a fire pit. It's a peaceful and zen spot where you can unwind with a book, soak up the sun rays, or enjoy a glass of wine. The WiFi signal is great in the garage area so it's also a good spot to work form. Our "Coral Tree Escape" is the perfect spot for a couple's getaway, small family, friend group, or solo adventurer. It's also a great place to "work from home" and we do have the fastest WiFi offered by our provider. Guest access This is a private studio space that will be exclusively yours during your stay. The studio is located at the back of a property where a tenant lives in the front house There is a separate and private entrance to studio. The outdoor patio space is exclusively for guests. At times, the gardener will be around to water and trim the plants. Other things to note PARKING: We provide a parking permit for one vehicle that can be used to street park on the block where the space is located. While there is not a designated parking space, there is usually ample street parking available that you can utilize with this permit properly displayed. The parking permit can ONLY be used on this block; we only have one permit that can be used only for one vehicle at time. Detailed parking instructions, including street sweeping times and how to display the permit, will be sent to you before check-in. If you don't return the parking permit when you check out, you will be charged $500. There are no exceptions to this. Our gardener comes on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month around noon and will be attending to the trees, vegetation, and plants outside. You don't need to be present while he is there, but we do want you to be aware of this. By booking this listing, you acknowledge that we have disclosed this. TEMPERATURE CONTROLS: We have a remote-operated min-split in the living area and also the kitchen that provide AC and heat. We also have a space heater and a fan if needed. This is a unique art-loft style living space. There's a lot of natural light and high ceilings. We do have privacy blinds for most of the windows. However, if you are sensitive to natural light then this might not be the spot for you. The areas where the bed are located are small and not traditional bedrooms. The upstairs finished loft area has a lot of charm and an epic view of the studio, but please note that the ceiling is very low. It's not a traditional "bedroom" but comfortably fits a king size bed and end tables. Anyone over 5' 8" will need to hunch over a bit to access the bed; the room also slopes lower to the right side. Most people likely won't be able to stand up fully in this space. There's also a skylight window in the loft space. The large living area has a comfy L-shaped couch that can fold out into a full sized bed. Toward the back, there is a queen sized bed behind the barn doors. Like upstairs, it's not really a bed room but there's enough space to comfortably fit the bed and an end table. The studio is located behind a front house where our tenant lives. There's a separate and private entrance to the studio that you access from the driveway. The backyard is private and yours to enjoy. There is a privacy fence between the front house and the studio, though at times you might hear the tenants outside.
