Description

Welcome to Paradise Shores, we're happy you found us! Here at PS, we believe in reconnecting people to the simple pleasures of life in a no-frills, peaceful, camp like setting. This classic beauty has it all and sleeps four. Large living area comes with fully equipped kitchen. Private patio with BBQ, picnic table and flowers is located just outside your door. Please feel free to check our other listings, if this camper isn't available on your preferred dates. The space We're a family owned RV Park & Campground located on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. Together with our crew, we're excited to welcome you into our newly adopted home. We are extremely excited to be taking the reins at Paradise Shores and continuing the legacy that Alan and Veronika have built over the past 11 years. When we first set eyes on Paradise Shores in early 2021, we fell in love with the charm and character of the place, and feel very fortunate to be trusted stewards going forward. We've been working with Veronika and Alan through this year learning the ropes, and they continue to be involved supporting us (remotely at this point), along with the existing team. We are committed to maintaining the same standards and mellow welcoming community vibe that had us fall in love with PS, and look forward to hopefully hosting you soon and being part of your Sierra adventure! Please request the booking via this listing and you're welcome to view the previous reviews of guests who stayed at our RV camp and in the Denali trailer via the link to Veronika & Alan's Co-host profile below. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation. It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a rental trailer as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to sit outside and read for days. For the more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, campfires & s'mores. We encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slower paced life but do have WIFI internet. And not just any WIFI but blazing fast (1GB) fiber optic internet broadcast over mesh network. There’s never been a better time to move your office away from the city and into the nature if you’re looking for an extended workcation. You can now get all your remote work done while enjoying everything the Eastern Sierra has to offer! Note: Please read the entire listing description prior to requesting the booking. THE DENALI CAMPER: At Paradise Shores we are very proud of all our trailers. Every one has been hand picked, and maintained to be its very best. The Denali came to us from a couple of friends, Jim and Ellie, who used to visit this area for years. They've thrown many parties on the front lawn and barbecue area. That's right, the camper has its own front yard, garden, and dedicated barbecue. Three slide outs, and a large living room area with a recliner and a pull out couch. It also has a huge 38” flat screen TV with a DVD player, surround sound, and at Jim's special request, a porcelain commode. Yup, this is one top notch trailer. This 35’ long beauty has it all: large kitchen/ living room area offers a dining table, comfortable pull out sofa, and kitchen equipped with most utensils and basics you may need. The bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed and also features a large wall to wall closet. If more sleeping space is needed, the living room sofa can be easily converted into an additional queen size bed. Sheets, towels, and dish towels are all provided. For your enjoyment, a private paved patio with barbecue, picnic table, lawn area, and plenty of flowers is located just outside of your door. We provide one-use supply of charcoal briquettes, to get you set up for your grilling and outdoor entertaining, and you can buy firewood at our office. We constantly improve and update the decor in our campers in effort to make your stay more pleasant and memorable (after all, this may be your first ever RV living experience!). We hope you enjoy and appreciate some changes and finishing touches that may not have been captured in the photo gallery above. Our rate includes space rent, propane, our awesome high speed fiber optic wifi, one parking spot as well as 12% Mono County occupancy tax (TOT). We can accommodate extra vehicle/s for a fee; just message us if you need the additional parking space at the time of requesting the booking. Guest access You will have access to the entire camp. You are welcome to use our various common areas with fire rings and barbecues, which we tend to improve each year. We host bonfires on most Saturdays, weather permitting, you're welcome to join in. We have camp laundry room available as well, please ask. There are couple of kayaks, SUP and paddle boat you can use for free on the reservoir. Other things to note As we welcome people to our home, we would love to know who our guests are (via the "vibe" of their profile: photos, description, previous reviews, if any etc). We do understand though that this may be your first time booking via AirBnB. In case you haven't already, please add a photo of yourself and short description giving us a feel of who you are, what you're passionate about, what you enjoy doing in your free time etc., and verify your profile with the government ID. Please let us know who will be joining you on the adventure. Is it going to be your first RV living experience? First time in the Eastern Sierra? What has drawn you to our RV camp? We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you! We only accept requests from guests with fully completed and verified profiles. Please don't request our place if you're not willing to truly be part of AirBnB community. We're so grateful for all the wonderful travelers we've been able to connect with and host over the years thanks to AirBnB! Taxes, like death, are unavoidable. Our rates include 15% Transit Occupancy Tax (TOT) that is mandatory for any guests staying in Mono County for less than 31 days. Please keep in mind that some of the mountain passes - Tioga Road (main road to Yosemite – HWY 120), Sonora Pass (HWY 108), and Monitor Pass (HWY 89) don’t open until May or later, depending on the snowpack. Also, some of the passes can be closed during stormy weather. This is especially true in the spring and fall. Plan accordingly and always check CalTrans info before traveling. Our camp is located on the Bridgeport Reservoir and we cannot control nor guarantee the water level. The water level varies greatly, based on the snowpack and time of year and will be low if there's a little snow in the winter. Typically, the lake’s edge will recede as the season progresses. So, if you are coming later in the season (late August onwards), you should expect the water level to be lower. With that said, the views and our sunsets are still breathtaking! :-) Regarding the pets, we love them all and you will see some adventure pups at the camp but they're not allowed in this camper. At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted or re-used. * We strive to reduce the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility. * We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. * Essential oils are used to clean our campers. * We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We live in the desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day life and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh water. * The water used to wash our linens and towels is recycled to irrigate the numerous gardens on our property. * In all the campers, we provide our guests with “plant friendly” cleaning products. By only using eco friendly products, we are able to use the kitchen and shower’s water to irrigate our gardens. We hope you can help us maintain the greener camping!
