Description

Perfect for nature lovers, families with older children, walkers, couples. Open plan living, a sunny conservatory, three pretty bedrooms, and a suntrap garden with views across the valley. Near Powderham Castle, farm shop, and deer park. Devon's glorious coast and countryside unfolds from here with nearby beaches, the estuary, fields, forests, coast and Exeter all ripe for exploring on foot, bike, train or boat. Enjoy the sound of birds and church bells and switch off. The space A Victorian brick cottage on the end of a sweet terrace in a very quiet narrow lane. Through the front door is an open plan kitchen, through to living, and dining room. This opens into the conservatory and little garden. Enough space to eat, read, chat, play board games, and lounge on the big sofa. We have books and guides to help you enjoy the neighbourhood, as well as lots of board games. Upstairs you will find three beautiful simple bedrooms with art inspired by nature. The two doubles have good cupboard storage and hangers, and the peaceful single has a small desk. Dogs are welcome under supervision downstairs and, if they are not heavy shedders, in bedroom one. Sensible children over 6, and babies in arms are welcome. The house is not toddler-safe at the moment. There is room in the conservatory to store your beach boards, bikes, or other holiday equipment. Most of the furniture is vintage, elm, oak, lime and walnut wood. The oval dining table seats six, and there is also a table and chairs in the conservatory. End Cottage is my home, so it’s fitted to my high standards. However it is great for guests and everything personal is packed away when you visit. I don't have a television at the moment. The WiFi is usually well behaved if you want to watch something online, or there is a digital radio, board games and books for old-style entertainment. Our garden is planted for wildlife, with a pond and plants making a haven for bees and butterflies. The little patio is a sun trap, with views over the church bell tower to the hills and woods beyond. Guest access You will have all the house as described, and garden. If we agree a couple’s discount two bedrooms will be closed. Other things to note The stairs and some of the upstairs spaces are quite narrow. If you need a wide door or have trouble with stairs this may not be the house for you.
