My cosy apartment is conveniently located in the City Centre. Close to bus and tram routes linking the airport and within a short walk of Princes Street, Old Town & Conference Centre. The apartment is situated within a traditional sandstone tenement building opposite the birthplace of Sean Connery. The Grand Canal, trendy cafes and restaurants are on your doorstep. There are two supermarkets, a cinema and great selection of coffee shops a few minutes away. Dedicated workspace & ergonomic chair. The space Situated within a traditional Edinburgh sandstone tenement dating back to 1908, my apartment provides the perfect opportunity to relax after a busy day exploring this historic city. Located on the back of the building away from the busy street, you enter the central staircase, gaze up at the impressive glass skylight, continue upwards to the second floor landing and step inside. Enter the stylish contemporary living space and relax on the comfortable leather sofa and watch Netflix on the 43" Samsung smart TV. The large south facing window fills the room with natural daylight and provides a view down into the garden area. Simple wireless heating controls connect to the modern gas fired boiler system providing hot water on demand and a warm cosy environment. In the newly decorated, fully equipped kitchen you'll have the option to cook up a lovely meal, using gas hobs, integrated oven and microwave. I also provide tea & coffee making facilities including Nespresso. Catch up on social media at the breakfast bar using super fast 100Mb fibre optic internet Wi-Fi. Freshen up your clothes using the washing machine and iron/ironing board. Step onto Italian porcelain floor tiles and refresh in the modern shower room complete with fluffy towels and complementary toiletries. The double bedroom features a comfortable bed, large wardrobe, stylish bed side tables with reading lamps and full length black-out curtains, creating a quiet retreat for a perfect night’s sleep. A dedicated workspace with desk, ergonomic chair and wireless charging lamp enable working from home while on holiday. I make sure you enjoy clean rooms, comfortable surroundings, every time. Guest access You will have exclusive access to my apartment during your stay. I love gardening and I’m proud to offer you the chance to relax outside in the walled garden. Here, walk under the ivy arch and view different varieties of flowers and shrubs. Birds nest in the garden and on summer mornings you awake to birds cheeping in the ivy. Other things to note Must climb stairs: Guests can expect to walk up and down “2 flights of stairs” during their stay. No lift. The communal stairs are maintained by all residents and they can become quite dirty and dusty. It's an old traditional Edinburgh stair :) Potential for noise: There is a construction project at the end of the block that may create some daytime noise. Expect to hear some traffic noise during your stay. No Parking on property: There is no dedicated parking space for guests. Washing machine detergent is not provided but you can buy some in the local shop:)
