The Hillside Hideaway

Nestled against a hillside, at the end of a small city lane, sits a charming cottage waiting your escape. Park in your reserved lane and step down to a unique retreat high above the city to enjoy old world charm with modern amenities. Walk to Historic Cumberland, enjoy local and regional attractions, or stay in and grill, build a fire, or play board or yard games. Small and cozy, yet well appointed, fully equipped, and with a beautiful view, come hideaway in this one of a kind location. The space The Hideaway is located near a wooded area. You may see deer, squirrels, and other wildlife in the woods behind the house, or in the backyard. This is an entire small house with a private entrance. Guests have use of the entire house and outdoor areas which include; a back yard, garden and green spaces, small porch with seating, and a private patio with a firepit and park style, charcoal grill (wood and charcoal provided.) The Hideaway is perfect for a family gathering or a private retreat. The hideaway is small, but can sleep 9 with 2 queen size beds, 1 full size bed, a queen size sleeper sofa and a twin size cot that can be placed in one of the bedrooms. Guest access Please be aware that due to this home's unique hillside location, it is not handicap accessible because of the stairs and/or walking ramp needed to access it. Stairs and ramp are well lit for nighttime use. Parking (for 2-4 cars, depending on size) is located on property. Some on street parking is available as well. Additional parking can be arranged. Other things to note While hosts live across the street, they are located further up on the hillside and will not enter the property while you are present unless you request assistance. While our check in time is 5PM, we welcome all early check in or late check out requests and will gladly honor them if we are able. If we are initially unable to honor your request, we are also willing to notify you the day of your check in (or check out) if things change.
