The space In the heart of Tuscany, not far from Volterra, San Gimignano and Siena, L'Uva Fragolina is situated in a picturesque location in the historic center of Castelnuovo di Val di Cecina. Even the arrival slows down, as the typical narrow alleys are car-free. The luggage can still be conveniently unloaded 150 meters away and the car can be parked in the village free of charge. Arriving at the house, the breathtaking view of the valley welcomes every guest. You enter the house at street level through the hallway, which leads to the upstairs bedroom, the living room, and the bathroom with a shower. The upper bedroom is equipped with two single beds that can also be provided as a double bed. Just like in the cozy living room next door, the windows offer an unobstructed view down into the valley over gardens and rooftops. A large open fireplace also invites guests to enjoy cozy evenings by the crackling fire during the colder months. Down the stairs is the main bedroom. With historic terracotta floors and exposed chestnut beams, you can dream here in the high-quality bed. Here, too, you can enjoy the view of the valley when you wake up. The massive 70 cm thick exterior walls protect against warm nights even without the noise of air conditioning. The master bathroom combines modern comfort with Tuscan charm. The shower overlooking the valley is particularly spectacular. At the latest on the lowest floor, the charm and authenticity of the centuries-old L'Uva Fragolina is revealed. A steep staircase carved into the rock leads to the kitchen and dining room, which features a large dining table and access to the private garden. Here, the air is filled with the scent of Mediterranean herbs, flowers, and mature figs. The terrace is spanned by a pergola, which ranks delicious table grapes, the eponymous Uva Fragolina. The panoramic view over the lower part of the village and the valley into the hilly landscape is perfect for an aperitivo and a barbecue. Refreshing summer cooling, warming relaxation in winter - since 2024 L'Uva Fragolina has a jacuzzi with water and air massage function. A warm bath under the wintry starry sky is an incredible experience. The hot tub heating season runs from October 15 to April 15. You can also enjoy great views of the valley from the Jacuzzi.
