Every window of our sun-filled, open-concept house looks out on towering maple trees which frame a pastoral view of verdant mountains. Outdoor enthusiasts can hike, snowshoe or cross-country ski right out the door on woodland paths and enjoy hidden gems of swimming holes as the weather warms. 1st floor Queen bedroom has adjoining private bathroom. A 5 min. drive to food & entertainment in Brattleboro. EV charging avail. The space The house is built on a diagonal floor plan, with a modern feel, exposed beams overhead and floor to ceiling windows showcasing views of gardens, surrounding fields and forests. Combining various time periods in its decorations, it features a Victorian mantle piece, a 50's-era diner booth, and refurbished sinks and claw-foot tub. 1st floor bathroom is adjoining bedroom and is private, for guest use only. Relax in front of the wood stove after a day of exploration in the winter or take a snooze in the hammock or have an alfresco meal on the screened porch or do yoga on deck as the weather warms. There is good cross-ventilation and bedrooms have window air conditioning units in place during the warm season. Because of host allergies we are unable to welcome pets and support animals. Guest access Guests will have access to all the facilities of the house, including private 1st floor bathroom for their use only; kitchen, living and dining rooms, screened porch with hammock and deck spaces shared with hosts. Washer and dryer in laundry room downstairs can also be used 1-2 times a week. Electrical Vehicle charging available at no charge. Parking in the garage available for one guest vehicle. Walks on trails or road from house. During your stay We hope to be able to welcome guest personally and give them an orientation to our home as well as provide answers to any questions about the property or area. We sleep on the 2nd floor of the house and during the day and evening may be using the common spaces. Other things to note We will always have tea or coffee available in the morning to start your day off right and you can use the refridgerator if you want to store perishables during your stay. We are vaccinated and take your health and ours seriously.
