Old Bakery Cottage is situated just off the village square in Witheridge, a friendly village on the border of North and Mid Devon. This spacious, newly renovated three bedroomed cottage is ideally situated for a family, couples, or a group of friends to enjoy all that the surrounding area has to offer. Witheridge is well placed for visiting both the north and south coast beaches and Exmoor and Dartmoor. The Two Moors Way runs right through the village. The space The cottage was originally part of the village bakery and was sympathetically converted when the bakery closed. Whilst there is no outside space with the cottage, we have a very popular neighbouring art café where you can sit outside and enjoy excellent coffee and cake. You are only 100 yards from the welcoming Mitre Inn, again with outside seating. Also, within 200 yards we have two well stocked village shops, one of which includes a post office. If you would like to eat out there are many dining options in and around Witheridge and you will be spoilt for choice. Eating in the village does mean that you do not have to worry about driving. The Mitre Inn serves excellent food and drink, and we are very fortunate to have the multi-award winning La Petite Bouchee restaurant in the heart of the village. Both offer dining in and takeaway options. Thai Herb Garden offers a delivery service and is based only two miles away. Mobile Woodfired Pizza, fish and chips, Thai food vans also come to the village each week. Alternatively, there is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare all your meals. The cottage sleeps six comfortably, with two superking beds and two single beds. The large, comfortable lounge is equipped with Smart TV, Sky, Superfast WiFi and a work station. The kitchen dining area is fully equipped, including a washing machine and dishwasher. There are two upstairs bathrooms, one en-suite and one family bathroom with separate bath and walk in shower. Guest access Although there is no dedicated parking there are no yellow lines or parking charges anywhere in the village. The village hall car park is free and only 100 yards from the cottage. Other things to note For visiting children there is an adventure playground only 300 yards away.
