Spacious, family friendly country house apartment

Have a relaxing stay in a spacious, rustic apt in the historic Rokeles Hall, the space features cottage style interiors for guests who appreciate comfort & history. The apt has parking (2+ cars), a private entrance & sleeps up to 8 (incl 2 dbl sofa beds). The original Hall (on 14 acres) was built in the 1200's & the existing Georgian building from the 1600's. Great wifi, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave & oven (no formal kitchen). Good restaurants, pubs, supermarkets & walks nearby. The space The double bedroom includes a standard double bed and sofa bed that sleeps 2. Our twin bedroom contains 2 large singles which can be zip and linked together to form an emperor (super king size+) bed. Our sitting room features a sofa bed which can sleep two. Please specify what sort of bed set up you would like when booking. Please note that the rooms are interconnected (so if you would like to get to the twin bedroom you must enter via the double bedroom and through the sitting room). Guest access Guests will have access to the top floor of the house (which has its own independent entrance). Guests can also feel free to roam the garden, fields & wood at their leisure. Caution is recommended near the lake. FROM A LOCAL WATTON GUIDE: DOG FRIENDLY SPACES NEARBY Whether you live in Watton or are just visiting, bringing your dog along is easy. The town is packed with dog-friendly stays, eateries, and scenic countryside. Here are four of our favourite local walks to explore with your pooch: 1. Thetford Forest: Just a short drive from Watton, Thetford Forest is a favourite with local dog owners. Miles of well-maintained trails wind through towering pine trees, offering plenty of space for energetic dogs to explore. The sandy paths stay fairly dry year-round, and there are routes to suit both short strolls and longer adventures. 2. Thompson Common: A hidden gem south of Watton, thompson Common combines heathland, woodland and picturesque ponds. The peaceful setting makes it ideal for a relaxed walk, while the variety of habitats keeps things interesting for curious canine noses. Do keep dogs under control around grazing livestock and wildlife. 3. The Great Eastern Pingo Trail: For dogs that enjoy a proper outing, the Pingo Trail is hard to beat. This unique circular route takes in rare Ice Age pingo ponds, woodland, heathland and open countryside. It's flat, scenic and packed with natural interest, making every walk feel a little different. 4. Loch Neaton: Just a 10-minute walk from the town centre, Loch Neaton is a scenic three-acre lake popular with dog walkers, featuring a boardwalk that leads to a picturesque picnic area. Whether you're after a quick walk or longer ramble, these spots offer plenty of fresh air, scenery and wagging tails! Other things to note Entrance to the property is up one floor via an external metal staircase and then up two flights to the top floor. The property does not include a kitchen however guests are welcome to bring their own food & drink. We provide plates, cups, bowls, cutlery, glasses etc. And we can arrange for these to be washed in the main house (subject to availability & pre-booking). We provide fridge freezer, an electric kettle, cafetière, tea pot, tea bags, coffee, sugar, biscuits etc. The two bathrooms both have baths with a shower head option on the taps.
