Shelby Historic Inns is located at the Western end of a the historical town of Shelby ,Tx-8 miles from Round Top, Tx. On the property of 5 acres still stand Pre Civil War historic buildings -Mercantile,RanchHouse, Carriage house (with 2 horse carriages from the 1800"s),Old Post Office and former Civil War hospital which later became an Opera House. The School House, is a rental for 1-6 guests. There are 2 queen and I full size bed. Accommodations can be made for more guests upon request. The Historic School House is a private rental for one group and has sleeping accommodations for 1-6 guests comfortably . (Over 6 will require extra beds etc be brought in to accommodate sleeping which is an option to discuss with OManager prior to booking . ) Guests occupy the entire house as a one party rental .NO individual rooms are rented with shared bath. =======Rates ======= The off season regular rate : $145-165 for 1-2 guests (ages 6-99) $40 per extra per guest /per night (ages 6-99) up to max 6. (I.e. 3 guests = $145 +$40) Children under 6 are free. Ages 6-12 rate $25 per child , per night A one time cleaning fee of $50 for 1-2 & an additional one time $10 per each additional guest(Sheets, towels etc) including children (ages 2-99). I provide fresh Cotton sheets, Ample Towels , make the necessary amount of beds etc , plus Covid house cleaning to insure your safety and comfort. Example : 2 guests :$50 3 guests :$60 4 guests :$70 and If guests exceed maximum of 6 the one time additional $10 per extra guest ( over 6) applies as well. 6% hotel tax 1 night minimum ============================ Thanksgiving , Christmas , Easter & New Year’s /Eve Rental Rates : $265 per night flat rate for 1-2 guests (ages 6-99). $70 per each additional guest /per night. Traveling from Shelby to Round Top,&Warrenton has minimal traffic, no lights . Round Top - take ( left onto fm 1457) & 8- 10 min direct to the square - Main Street. To get to Warrenton ( left onto fm 389 , go 3 miles , Make a Right onto FM 954, Go (6) miles to 237 & park for free at Cole’s in Warrenton. The Historic School House is a private rental for one group and has sleeping accommodations for 1-6 guests comfortably . Ground level has a large living room as you enter & sleeping accommodations exist as well.The cozy ground floor has 1 brass Canopy Full size bed, table to dine & couches to hang out together . The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, toaster oven , coffee pot , ( I provide coffee and condiments) dishes and utensils are all provided . (no stove top cooking allowed.) Electric Hot plates & griddle with pots pans etc can be provided at no additional cost. The back& front porch offer relaxing views of “the most gorgeous sunsets in Texas”. Children are welcome and infants & toddlers up to 6 yrs of age are free with a $10 cleaning fee per child 2-12. A small antique oak rocking crib can be provided for an infant. We are Rural so one must be careful . Absolutely no strolls on the property from dusk to Dawn. We have every critter imaginable and they love to come out at night One can walk on Voelkel Rd which is paved and safer than the grassy land and a flash light will be provided. Where other guests are residing In the individual houses , driveways etc access is off limits for the sake of privacy . ======================= QUEST CHAPEL On our property - We are graced with our Quest Chapel, a non-denominational , multi event venue ,rustic cedar and inspired Chapel with glorious stained glass windows Quest Chapel can be opened for viewing and or private solace upon request. Also a 9’6” Concert Boesendorfer Grand graces the Chapel for performances. Guests are welcome to make arrangements with me for a private viewing. =============================== PET PROVISIONS : DOGS ARE WELCOME !!!!!!’ However YOU MUST CONFIRM WITH OWNER BEFORE MAKING YOUR RESERVATION. You will need to bring with you or email me [email protected] Documentation showing : UP TO DATE VACCINATIONS , Rates: $ 100 deposit per dog is required ,paid upon arrival & is fully refundable if stated rules are kept and no cost to manager is incurred due to negligence of pet owner or the dog’s unsuitable behavior . $20 per night ,per dog 1=25lbs. $30 -$ 50 per night /per dog medium to large dog 25-????lbs or more. Maximum only 3 small or 2 large dogs allowed per house. Not allowed are: Non House trained, teething puppies, Shedding or aggressive If a pet must remain in the guest house while guests are out to dinner etc —they must be in crates while left alone in the house. They are not allowed on beds . A curtesy to future guests with allergies etc. Due to the rural environment all pets must remain on a leash and supervised at all times by an adult when outdoors. Caution must be observed - leaving a pet left alone tied to a tree or porch could jeopardize their safety.
