Simon-Dach private apartment

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Friedrichshain, in Boxhagener Kiez. My husband and I decorated our home with love and attention to details, creating a very cozy atmosphere. The apartment has a beautiful light as it has many windows, and the rooms are very spacious. We often travel, and we like to open the doors of our home to people visiting Berlin. The space The apartment is on the second floor of a typical Berlin “Altbau” building. It is 100sqm large. It has 2 double bedrooms, each with a 160x200 cm mattress. One of the bedrooms has a baby cot (60x120 cm) and a changing table, as well as access to a balcony. In both bedrooms, you will find space in the white wardrobes to store your belongings. In the smaller white wardrobe there is also an iron and a hair dryer with a styling and diffuser nozzle. The spacious living room has a Danish style velvet sofa and a large table with chairs, where 6 people can comfortably sit. The kitchen is fully furnished, it has a normal size fridge with freezer, oven, stove, dishwasher, sink. The large bathroom has a shower and a separate bathtub, 2 sinks, washing machine and dryer. The windows are very well insulated, the apartment is located in a lively neighborhood, but the part of the street where the apartment is, is rather calm, when you close the windows you don’t hear any noises from outside. In each bedroom you will find a low noise ventilator. Please note that we are renting out our home when we are not in Berlin, therefore the check in is a self check in, you will need to pick up the keys at a store within 10 minutes walk from home. The store is open from Monday to Saturday from 8 am until 9pm and on Sunday from 9 am until 6pm. It is closed on official holidays. An earlier or later check in is possible upon request, only if there are no other check ins / check outs on that day. Guest access Guest have access to the entire apartment, we provide clean bedsheets and towel on the beds. Please do not use new towels and bedsheets that you find in the white wardrobe in the bathroom without asking me first. The fridge has space for you to store your stuff. There is an hairdryer in one of the bedrooms, as well as a iron and iron board. You can use the beamer in the living room to watch Netflix etc. In the kitchen there are 2 Italian Mokas to make coffe, the professional Lelit coffe machine is not for guests use as it is not easy to use and clean and not everyone can do that. Other things to note The neighborhood is very lively. The Simon-Dach-Strasse and Boxhagener Platz are famous for their many cafes, restaurants, bars, ice cream places, shops etc. You are surrounded by a variety of different restaurants with kitchens from all over the world. Every Saturday there is a food market where you can find local seasonal products as well as handicrafts and every Sunday there is a second hand market in Boxhagener Platz, which is within 5 minutes walk from home. The RAW Gelände is also within 5 minutes walk, it is a creative area with a lot to do and see: beer garden, clubs, restaurants, swimming pool, climbing gym, skate park, second hand shop and market on Sunday. The next large supermarket is also within 5 minutes walk: Rewe. Close by there is also a Karaoke Bar “Monster Ronsons” where you can sing in front of the crowd or also rent a private cabin for your group. Close by there is the beautiful Berlin bridge Oberbaumbrücke and the Berlin wall “East Side Gallery”, here you can sit by the water and enjoy the summer days with a nice drink or pizza from Zola. In the modern part around the Mercedes Benz Arena you can find a UCI Cinema and a shopping center. The Mercedes Benz Arena is famous for hosting many large events and concerts. Within 10 minutes bike ride, you can reach the beautiful park “Treptower Park”, perfect on a nice summer day for a walk in nature by the water, or the Volkspark Friedrichshain. The apartment is very central located. You can easily reach every part of Berlin. The next S-Bahn, Tram and U-Bahn station "Warschauerstrasse" which is within 10 minutes walk from home. From here you can take the direct train S9 to the Berlin airport, as well as many SBahn lines which cross the city: Alexanderplatz, Central Station, Charlottenburg. The Ubahn line from Warschauerstrasse will take you through Kreuzberg, then all the way to west Berlin. The Tram from Warschauerstrasse will take you first north to Prenzlauer Berg, then all the way to central station. The U-Bahn U5 "samariterstrasse" is also only 12 minutes walk away. While the station "Ostkreuz" is only 15 minutes walk away. From here you can take the fast train to the airport FEX, which takes only 15 minutes!
