Only 3 miles from the seaside town of Sheringham with its friendly pubs and cafes and miles of beach. Even closer, Weybourne beach is popular for fishing as the sun sets. Explore the wonderful countryside and coastline by bike, from the doorstep. And just a short drive to National Trust treasures and picturesque fishing villages. The space This traditional cottage offers the perfect base for a family or 2 couples for exploring the North Norfolk coast area. Fully renovated in 2021, this cosy cottage has start of the art electric heating, and 2 beautiful new shower-rooms for guests convenience. The living room is cosy on chilly evenings, the compact kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create quick snacks to full Christmas dinner. And the bedrooms are cosy with comfy beds and 2 brand new all electric shower-rooms (one ensuite). Rented in summer 2021 via an agent who also used Airbnb, here are all the reviews left by previous guests: Mary September 2021 This is a wonderful cottage, beautifully furnished with everything you would need for a stay in Norfolk. Lovely garden especially loved the wildflower bed at the front. Beds super comfortable and great to have two bathrooms. It is in a great position for access to the lovely coastal towns of Wells-by-Sea, Sheringham and Cromer. Also great houses to visit and bird reserves which we’d highly recommend. We had a great pub meal at the pub opposite (The Red Stag), very friendly too. We also had a lovely meal at the Moorings in Blakeney. We would highly recommend this cottage, thank you. We had some fantastic days out including Wells Next To Sea beach and Sherringham beach which was great for an evening swim and dinner on the beach (very close by). Is on a busy quite noisy road and village has no amenities. Would certainly need a car. Beds very comfy and liked the fact that there are two small bathrooms upstairs. Space was cosy and well equipped. It worked well for us and we had a good time. Front garden of wild flowers was stunning and welcoming. Nice back garden for eating outside. Property managed by agency so no contact with owner which we felt was a disadvantage as took away personal touch and care. No extras were provided (welcome pack of provisions etc). We didn’t notice the traffic on the main road at all, and a great location to nearby attractions...Sheringham, Cromer and Holt. The place is home from home and would definitely recommend. Tracey May 2021 A quaint cottage that is immaculately clean and welcoming. Stairs are steep and not for the fair hearted or large suitcases. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and equipment for a homely stay. The location is ideally placed for exploring north Norfolk being only a few miles between Sheringham and Holt (nestled just off the main road) with all necessary amenities available at both locations. Certainly well worth staying here and escaping for a few days R&R - excellent value for money too. Other things to note Please note due to the quirky nature of this traditional cottage, the stairs are extremely steep and narrow. There's a good handrail, and you quickly get used to the stairs. But not recommended for those with mobility issues, vertigo or for extremely large suitcases!
