Tropical Mountain Paradise: Sanctuary for the Soul

::Discount for longer than one night stays:: Plantation style house situated on 2 1/2 acres of beauty. 7.5 miles from the airport and under 60 miles to nearest beach. Yard is full of at least 10 different varieties of fruit trees. Enjoy the scenery from one of the 2 lovely porches. The space **No permitimos eventos en la casa ni reuniones de ningún tipo. **No events/parties of any kind are allowed at our house. ***Ask about our long stay discounts* This home is 3000 ft2 with 3 floors, which include 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and open kitchen living room floor plan. The style is a Louisiana French Acadian House. Four of the bedrooms have double beds and one bedroom/playroom has a single bed. The master bedroom has a king size bed and master bath. There is custom wood cabinetry and beautiful wood detail throughout the whole house. The first floor has gorgeous wood flooring and the second and third have cozy carpet. We also have 2 large porches. The back porch is screened in and has a hammock and table/benches so you can eat or relax outside without being bothered by the insects. The front porch has 2 porch swings and a teak bench to enjoy the view of the yard. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove/oven and all you need to prepare your meals(not including food). We have towels and bed linens available for your use too, as well as a washer and dryer. Food and bathroom toiletries, are not included. Though we will try to keep cleaning supplies available for the house for short term stays. There are several nearby convenience stores within walking distance, as well as a restaurant, pharmacy, fruit stand, and hardware store, all about 500 meters away. We have a selection of English books for your reading pleasure available and toys for the kids. The house has Wi-Fi **There is also a swing set and playhouse/sandbox in the yard. The views from our house to the Central Valley and Barva Volcano are exquisite; and the yard has at least ten different types of fruit trees, including mango, banana, and guayaba/guava, as well as other plants and trees that flower all year long. There is also a river at the bottom of the hill for you to explore. The yard is lined by a bamboo privacy fence. Our town, Birri, is located in the Central Valley of the Province of Heredia, about 1 1/2 hours from some of the most beautiful beaches in the Americas on the Pacific Coast. In fewer than 3 hours you can be on the Caribbean Coast or visit famous Arenal Volcano. Volcan Poas and several canopy tours are located about 45 minutes or less from our house. We actually live at the foot of Volcan Barva, which is an inactive volcano with a national park where you can hike and enjoy the cloud forest with all its strange and beautiful vegetation. Café Britt offers an amazing coffee plantation tour and is only 15 minutes away. This is coffee plantation country due to the fertile volcanic soil and temperate climate. The climate has spring-like temperatures all year long. You will only need a light sweater for some of the cool nights or after a nice rain; but shorts and tank tops are what you should pack. ***Finally, we are strict about the amount of people not only staying in our house, but who are coming to visit. We are not equipped to handle events such as parties, weddings, or reunions. Thank you so much for understanding. We also have a three night minimum stay.
