An idyllic 200 year old Bothy located in the North-East of Scotland, some say similar to the cottage from the movie "The Holiday". Situated in a quiet and secluded area of Pitmedden, known as Old Seaton Village. We can provide shuttle services to nearby popular amenities - prior notice required. Well behaved dogs are welcome but are not allowed on the furniture. Dogs must be kept on a lead within the property grounds and surrounding area and must not be left unattended in the bothy. The space An added extra to our own home, when not in use for our own family and friends, we wish to share the bothy with others to explore the wonderful North East of Scotland. It should be noted, we are a young family with children and pets so we spend a lot of time in our enclosed garden when weather is favourable. Guests should expect the possibility of excitable children and pets, you may even be lucky enough to be invited for a game of "hide and seek" or "what's the time mister wolf" - our son's favourites! The Bothy boasts private parking for your car, a log burning stove (kindling and logs provided for one night), WiFi (light usage only), Smart TV, large King sized bed, smart central heating, and outdoor patio area. The kitchen area, although small, has all the basic necessities for your stay. Recently renovated (May 2026) shower room, featuring a rainfall shower and modern appliances. Minimum stay is 2 nights and we require 72hrs notice for stays. Please note this is a holiday cottage and we do not do long term lets. Upon booking, you will receive an initial booking message asking you to check your reservation is correct for number of guests/pets. Full check-in details and information will then be sent within 48 hours prior to your check-in date which we kindly ask guests to confirm receipt. Please do not arrive before the allocated check-in time (3pm) unless earlier time agreed with hosts. Guest access The whole entire Bothy along with outdoor patio area with table and chairs. Other things to note Maximum occupancy is 2 people. The bothy is situated in our own home's garden/grounds. We are a young family with children and pets - we spend a lot of time outside when the weather is favourable in our enclosed garden - excitable children and pets are to be expected.
