The spacious room features a walk-in bathroom, a balcony, a coffee maker and a small breakfast set in the fridge. The space THE HOUSE AND THE SPACE A total of 5 rooms are available in our beautiful, quietly located house with garden. This spacious room is on the top floor of the house. It is comfortably furnished and offers plenty of space to get away from it all. The entire floor is for your exclusive use. AMENITIES The room has a double bed (180 x 200 cm) and a single bed (90 x 200 cm) as well as a private walk-in bathroom with a toilet, rain shower and a Japanese-inspired plunge pool. From the small balcony and through the two solar-powered skylights, you can enjoy magnificent views as far as the Vosges and the Black Forest. The skylights close automatically when it rains. Curtains ensure that light and warmth can be easily regulated. The room entrance is closed with a sliding door, which can also be used flexibly as a door to the bathroom. CULINARY DELIGHTS IN THE ROOM For a relaxed start to the day, the room is equipped with a fridge, toaster, kettle and a capsule coffee machine. Various teas, coffee pods and mineral water are available to you free of charge. As a small gesture from the property, a small breakfast set with orange juice, toast, butter and jam will be waiting for you in the fridge upon your arrival. LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS The house is situated in a quiet area that invites you to take relaxing strolls. The Goetheanum is just a 7-minute walk away, which is ideal for conference attendees. Basel is also close by: just 10 minutes by car and 30 minutes by public transport. You will find up-to-date information about the Goetheanum as well as about changing attractions and events in Basel right in your room. ACCOMMODATION FOR PEACE AND QUIET The accommodation is particularly appreciated by guests seeking a quiet and private retreat between seminars, conferences or events at the Goetheanum. Many of our guests come back regularly and appreciate the familiar, personal atmosphere of our property. We ask all guests to use the rooms and the house quietly and considerately, especially during quiet hours. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING The house is not equipped for families with young children. There are open staircases without child safety gates throughout the house. Cots and cribs are not provided, nor are any amenities specifically designed for toddlers. Due to these structural conditions, we ask families with small children to carefully consider whether the property meets their family's needs before booking. The safety and well-being of all guests, as well as the peaceful atmosphere of the house, are particularly important to me. Please be sure to pay attention to the no-parking signs. An available spot cannot be guaranteed. If everything across the street is taken, there is 1 parking space available in front of my garage. E-CHARGING STATION A charging station is available in the parking lot for your electric car. Use is charged at CHF 0.50 per kWh. PARKING AT THE GOETHEANUM The fees are CHF 1.00 per hour or CHF 10.00 per day. Parking passes can be purchased online along with the conference pass. Wi-Fi/INTERNET Free Wi-Fi is at your disposal. You will find the access codes in your room upon your arrival.
