Spacious 3 bedroom country cottage all to yourself

Situated just outside of the picturesque North Wales village of Llanarmon-yn-Ial, in an ANOB Glandwr Alyn is an ideal location for outdoor pursuits or a country getaway. For cyclists there are great road routes or if you are more of a mountain biker we are 15mins drive from Oneplanet Adventure. Offa’s Dyke path is a short walk from the cottage, alternatively the village's community pub & shop is a 15min walk. Birdwatchers love watching for Kingfishers on our deck which overlooks the river Alyn. The space The cottage is down a quiet country lane and parking is right outside the front door. There’s a sofa bed in the living room that makes up into a small double bed, and there is a dog friendly garden (stock fenced so small dogs may need supervising) for guests bringing dogs with them. The TV is set up for DVD use only- but there’s a lot of DVD’s in the shelves and cabinet by the TV for you to use. There’s also a radio and you can play CD’s through the DVD player and TV speakers. The blinds in the bedrooms aren’t black out blinds - except for the green room where the Venetian blind does cut out a lot of light. So for guests who need a darker room we recommend you bring eye masks with you, or hang a dark towel in the window recess (there’s some tension rods in two rooms for this) The downstairs loo is very slow to refill sorry- the plumber says he can’t get it working any quicker sadly, it’s just an old system. Guest access Access is off the B4531 for a 1/4 mile on a single tarmac road. There is ample off-road parking for 3 vehicles on a paving slab driveway. A bus route runs through the village of Llanarmon-yn-Ial from Ruthin to Mold, with stops in the surrounding small villages along the way. Other things to note There’s a foam double mattress rolled up under the bed in the second bedroom- if you want to use it whilst you stay then let me know and I can leave out the spare duvet, sheets and pillows etc for it Most people use it in the king bedroom which is the biggest bedroom- or there’s the sofa bed in the living room that can be made up instead.
