The Little Ann, a glimpse into early 1900
This large and comfortable room is located inside the Blue Fern Bed and Breakfast. It includes a separate kitchenette with a fridge and microwave and a loft bed so that it can sleep 5. It has a charming gas fireplace, access to the upper sunroom overlooking the tree filled garden, and comes with breakfast in the dining room. Wifi is included, off street parking, a code to the door so you can come and go at will. It has a quaint bathroom with both a shower and separately a clawfoot bathtub. Little Ann is decorated to fit the atmosphere of this large home built in 1906. It is named after one of the lead characters in Where the Red Fern grows which is about this area of Oklahoma. You will have a chance to enjoy the wrap around porch and the red swing as you consider the garden. The house is tended by Monica who is a very friendly and hospitable hostess. She is also a a great cook. You will meet Monica when you check in and at breakfast. She is gifted at letting people know what is going on in our little town. She is happy to visit or even take you along to the Farmers market of events in town. You will be able to text her with any questions you may have. This neighbor hood is inside the original township of Tahlequah filled with a collection of interesting homes and is only a couple of blocks from downtown. Downtown, you'll find many places to eat and shops to explore. It also has a few museums and the University in walkable distance. Tahlequah is Oklahoma friendly and beloved by many. It is best to have a car when exploring this area. That opens you up to Lake Tenkiller and the Illinois /river. Many stay with us when they are floating the river. There are good walking routes with in town. I heard there is uber available but I've never seen it. We recommend that you have a car.
