You will love this peaceful peninsula home on High Rock Lake. Salem Shores is the perfect spot to let your stress float away. The low-sloping lakefront lot leads straight to the water with a private dock and sandy beach. Paddle in the 4 kayaks, float/swim in the lake, lounge on the dock/shore, and enjoy the fire pit. Then go in and cuddle on the comfortable couches in front of the 70" 4K Smart TV before enjoying the comfortable beds, blackout curtains, and soothing sound machines. You’ll have the whole property to yourselves. It’s the driveway over to the edge of the treeline and from the street to the dock. You can swim and float anywhere you want in the lake. Boats normally will go on the outside of the white bouy where the water is deeper so you can swim freely around the dock especially. So you will be in a serene, natural setting with beautiful trees and unique birds and calm waters gently lapping on the shore. It may surprise you, but there is a gas station restaurant at the top of the street with many excellent food options, including delicious pizza and subs. They also deliver. Childress Vineyards, owned by Richard Childress, is about 10 miles away from the house. Also, many of the chain stores and restaurants are about 10 miles away in Lexington. Plenty of parking in a large driveway. You will want to drive most places and ride-sharing options like Uber and Lyft are limited. TV The remote is on the bench under the TV. The buttons are probably self-explanatory. But might be a little tricky. Use the home button and select apps to get to things like Netflix and Disney+ where you can input your login info. KITCHEN The dishwasher works well but you need to turn the faucet on to get the water hot before you start the dishwasher. Dishwasher tabs are under the sink. Oven There is a red light that stays on for the surface. It’s not a problem. Just make sure you turn off all the stove burners. Toaster Oven We have tested the toaster oven a few times and it is very nice. Just FYI Everything else should work as normal. There’s oil and salt and pepper you’re welcome to use. There are some storage containers and Ziploc bags under the sink. Linens Most of the linens are in the linen closet off the living room. There are also some in the king suite bathroom. Laundry In cabinets above the washer and dryer are detergent pods. Outside 3 Kayaks and floats are under the deck. Enjoy picnic table, huge deck, and gas grill!
