Kate's Place Lake Belton Lake Access
Kate's Place Lake Belton Lake Access
Description
Enjoy time with family and friends relaxing with the best view! Our home has a unique layout with two buildings that gives you options. The new Casita bedroom is set apart and has its own bathroom - like a hotel room. A unique feature is the wood "ship lap" walls are from artillery crates (the building was moved to our property in the 60's from the army base). Read the reviews, description & pictures for more details! If you have any questions - msg me and I'll happily help you! The space The best part of this property is the lake view! Our property overlooks the main body of water allowing you to see all the way to Temple Park located several miles across the lake. Our favorite time is the evening when we grab a beverage, pull a chair up to the retaining wall, enjoy the breeze under the shade of the trees and watch the sun set. Our second favorite is playing shuffleboard on the back patio with family & friends! Most of Lake Belton has bluffs but our property goes all the way to the shoreline where you have access to swim, skip rocks and relax! We have a rock/grass path down to the lake and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after all the fun lake time. This property is unique in that it is made up of two buildings - giving you lots of space and options for your stay! It is great with 2 families because each gets their own building. The main house was built in 1958 and the interior was updated in 2019 & the exterior in 2024. It has 2 bedrooms both with king beds and 1 full bath - shower only. The living room is spacious, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook and host your family. The second building is a detached garage that was originally a bunk house from the local army base. It was moved to the property in the 60's and was completely remodeled in 2020. The walls had different sized planks of wood that were from artillery crates - fun piece of history! You can still see them in the Casita bedroom. The Casita is a private bedroom with king bed, TV, walk in closet, french doors to a patio & private bathroom with vanity & walk in shower. Basically, your own hotel room! We use the main garage area (fully insulated and climate controlled) as a game room/bunk area for our kids. It has a TV, its own toilet room & cabinets for clothes. We two daybeds with trundles, a twin mattress, and a queen air mattress for you to use along with pillows, sheets & blankets. This allows the extra mattresses to be put away and for there to be open space for the kids to relax away from the adults in the main house! Being outside, enjoying the view while relaxing and playing games is our favorite way to spend an afternoon. Don't miss out on playing a game of shuffleboard on the back porch! After looking at the pictures and reading the descriptions & reviews - let me know if you have questions! I am happy to help you figure out if our place works best for your family and if not, I can recommend other places that might work. The EV Charger is a Tesla level 2 charger 42-45 mph charge. It is open to other EV's but you will need to use your own adapter. *** As this is a 1950's house - there is NO dishwasher. We have plates, silverware, pots, pans, etc. but if you don't like washing dishes - paper plates will be your friend! A question commonly asked is if there is a bathtub. We have 2 walk-in showers and one outdoor shower but no bathtub. For littles, the kitchen sink is one large basin and is big enough to bathe toddlers if needed. While we love animals, we ask that you not bring pets. We have had guests choose not to comply with this request so now there is a $150/pet fee for those that don’t respect the rule. Thank you for understanding! Guest access Guests will use a code to access both the house and the casita. The code will be sent a couple of days before your arrival. Our property has LOTS of parking - can hold 2-4 truck and boat rigs with space for 2-4 more cars depending on how tight you want to park. Other things to note The EV Charger is a Tesla level 2 charger 42-45 mph charge. It is open to other EV's but you will need to use your own adapter. We have a charcoal grill available for your use. Our property has access to the lake with a grass/rock path. If you take an evening walk, it is exactly .5 miles from our driveway around the loop and back - a perfect distance to get some steps.
