NGODRUB KHANGSAR HOMESTAY is located in a scenic and picturesque village LUING, near Gangtok. our place is a great getaway from the hustle bustle of city life. As you drive, towards our homestay, the noise of the town subdues and the chirping of the birds, the flowing of the streams , waterfalls and the fresh mountain air fills your senses. Our homestay has all the modern amenities for a comfortable stay but at the same time lets you experience and see the village/farm life . The space our homestay has five new bedrooms and all are in the same floor. each bedroom has its own attached bathroom with 24 hrs running hot and cold water and its own balcony which opens up to a green jungle below . There is a common dining area and a lounge where guest can interact with one another if needed. guest can access the kitchen whenever they want and use it too , it is equipped with the basic required things. We have a beautiful garden surrounding the property which the guest can enjoy and if they visit during the fruiting season, be able to enjoy the fruits too . we have our own small farm so during your stay here, you can try local organic farming and if you want , try your hand in milking the cows! :).There are paddy fields, bang opposite to the homestay so if you visit during the monsoon, you can even try paddy farming. For those who love hiking and going for walks, you will love his place.. Our garden offers a spectacular view of gangtok , which becomes even more beautiful as the sunsets. our homestay is a perfect getaway for those wanting to unwind and relax , the only sound you will hear here will be the chirping of birds, the sound of mountain air blowing and the howling of foxes in the night. our private residence is at a separate floor so as to give you privacy but at any time you would want to meet us or interact , we would love to do so. Guest access the guest has access to the entire homestay area and the garden/nursery . Other things to note FOOD: the tariff covers the stay and complimentary breakfast, breakfast tariff is applicable for extra guest. both lunch and dinner (non veg/ veg) can be provided at an extra cost, but do let us know in advance . the vegetables will be locally grown or procured. Apart from this if there is any local dish that the guest would want to eat like momo, thukpas, shyaphaley , do let us know in advance TEA/COFFEE : kettle and satches have been provided in each room but those wanting to drink the local sikkimese tea or the adrak wali chai , it can be provided at an extra cost. tea can be provide till our kitchen closes for the night ( about 10 pm ). milk can also be provided . the milk used would be the organic milk from the dairy farm LAUNDRY : since ours is a home run business, we do not provide regular laundry service but if needed we can do so, at a nominal rate POWER SUPPLY : we have an inverter as a back up for any power cuts but to note that only the room bulbs and the TV would be able to function, it will not be able to support heavy power consuming things like geyser or heater. PORTER : we do not have a porter to carry the luggages but the vehicle will drop you right at the property and of course if needed, we are always there to help you BONFIRE/CAMPFIRE : can be provided if the guest wants . the first pile of wood would be complemetary from us , henceforth charges would be applicable for each pile of wood.
