April's Cottage, sea views close to Chesil Beach

Escape from it all in this little cosy character cottage crammed with history and home comforts including own parking right outside your front door (size of parking space 3 x 5m). Located in the heart of the Jurassic coast, moments from Chesil Beach, local shops, pubs and cafes. The space Originally a stonemason’s cottage and one of the oldest property's on King Street, the space is compact but imaginatively used. The living room is on the first floor with a vaulted ceiling revealing the structural beams (two of which are considered to be ship's masts - rescued from shipwrecks in nearby Chesil Cove). Sea views to Lyme Regis and beyond along Chesil Beach. A new and super efficient woodburner complete this charming room. There is a double bedroom and the space easily caters for two with room for 1 more guest on the day bed in the reception room. The kitchen is modern and comprehensively equipped and the ground floor shower room is neat and contemporary. Outside a roof terrace with sea view is ideal for dining and watching the stunning sunsets. To the rear of the cottage there is a laundry out-house (housing the washing machine and tumble dryer) also, for water sports junkies, there is an area to the back to rinse and dry wetsuits. Guest access King Street has its own charm. One way to traffic from the top and narrow single lane winding down towards the sea. We are lucky to have a parking space for a medium size car in front of the cottage. Close to the coastal path route around the Island and to Weymouth. There is a regular bus route into Weymouth, on to the county town of Dorchester and along the Jurassic Coast. A seasonal passenger boat runs from Portland Harbour to Weymouth too. Other things to note We provide a welcome gift to make sure that you have some treats when you first arrive. We respectfully request no unreasonable noise, no smoking in the cottage and hope you will look after the furnishings during your stay.
